It was now time for Muhjon to meet the captain of this great vessel. He was a bit nervous as it was meeting someone for the first time but in this case it was him meeting a captain that was entrusted with a ship of this magnitude and that that captain picked him to entrust this great ship to me in way of keeping it running smoothly. Steeling himself and pressing the chime to her office he waited for the response.

Lt. Muhjon Vamuhn, CE

As Vamuhn stood in front of the CO’s ready room office, Lt. Commander Lunan crossed out of the Main Bridge turbolift and headed towards the centre seat, until he noticed the new crew member. Spinning on his heel, he cleared his throat to get the man’s attention, “You must be our new Chief Engineer,” Lunan extended a hand, his Bajoran earrring waving nonchalantly, “Lieutenant Commander Lunan Farrah, XO of the Chimera, I trust you got onboard ok?”

-Lt. Commander Lunan Farrah: XO-

Turning around at the clearing of the throat sound he noticed the Bajoran and smiled and grabbed the man’s hand and shook it. “Pleased to meet you Commander! And yes, I’m the Chief Engineer. My name is Muhjon Vamuhn. Most people call me Jon. Feel free to. I’ve been onboard for two days now. Getting all of my inprocessing done. My last stop after this one would be to come see you, since you’ll be my supervisor. When is a good time to stop by Commander?”

While the officers chatted, the door slid open, likely on a command from Freja who sat behind the desk. Smirking, she decided to let them finish their conversation before interjecting.

“As soon as you’re settled in Lieutenant, take your time though. The Chimera can be one hell of a ship to navigate.” He gave a curt nod to Andreassen, before turning and taking the centre chair.

-Lt. Commander Lunan Farrah: XO-

“I know sir. But that’s why I’m here. Thank you for the conversation and I’ll see you soon.” Noticing the door was opened and the captain Looking his way he quickly came in. “Sorry captain. I was talking to my supervisor. I didn’t mean to keep you waiting. I’m Lieutenant Muhjon Vamuhn and I’m your new Chief Engineer and reporting for duty ma’am.” He said going to attention.

“It’s no problem, welcome aboard Lieutenant,” Freja nodded, “Come in, I’ll be brief, but would you like a beverage from the replicator before we start?” She rose, “I need a refill on my iced coffee myself.”

“Oh. Then yes please ma’am. I’d like to try that iced coffee if you don’t mind.” He came into her office and stood by the chair because she didn’t tell him to sit. Something from his Marine Corps days. Don’t do anything unless told, which means don’t assume.

“Coming right up,” Freja replied, she ordered two iced vanilla coffees and as she returned to her desk, “Have a seat Lieutenant,” she spoke as she slid his iced coffee onto the side of the desk where there was a chair.

“So did you have a pleasant journey to the ship?” She asked as she retook her own seat.

And there it was. The order. Sitting down and grabbing the coffee. “Yes. It was pleasant actually. There was a star forming near our flight path and we got permission to deviate from our path to go see it. Remarkable.” He smiled as he thought back at the fond memory. Taking a sip of the coffee his eyes went wide. “My! This is good! Where has then been my whole life? I must get the recipe from you before we leave if you don’t mind? And I want to thank you for giving me this chance Captain. It means a lot to me.” He took another sip while he waited for her reply.

“Oh it’s no problem, I’m happy we were able to snap you up before another ship did,” Freja smiled, “It’s a simple earth recipe, it’s in the replicator programs as an ‘Iced Vanilla Coffee’ under my personal recipes. I make them public on the ships I’m on because I often have people ask and it’s easier that way. So, current ship status…we are currently between missions so it was a good time to pop on board, I imagine you’ll still need to drop by sickbay and the CNS, so you can do those, I expect our next set of orders to come in shortly, but you should have some time to assess the state of engineering and if there’s anything that you need, my XO and I are happy to facilitate that, just let us know. Aside from that, any questions for me?”

“Wise to make it public then I’ll check that out and others that you have up.” He nodded at the in between missions part. “That’s good. That will give me more time to re-familiarize myself to this grand lady. And I have already been to sickbay, just waiting to get an appointment at up with the CNS madam.” He thought for a moment. “I don’t reckon I have any questions for you at this time ma’am. But if I do, I’ll notify the XO, my supervisor, first. I appreciate your time and meeting with me. Do you have any questions for me before I go Captain?”

“No, I think we’re off to a brilliant start,” Freja nodded with a smile, “You are dismissed in that case to get down to work.”
