It has been a year since the accident that nearly killed him in engineering. Thankfully Science and medicine has came a long way and they were able to save his life and his eye sight. He was now cleared for duty and was surprised that after he went back to training to do recertification testing, that he was made Chief Engineer of the biggest ship he has ever seen.

Stepping off the turbolift and heading into sickbay, he found the receptionist. “Excuse me. I am here for my boarding physical. Can anyone help me with that?”

Within the Sickbay Alpha there was a human male with two solid gold pips on his collar, with dark skin he has a PADD in his hands. The man seemed to be directing the flow of people and medical personnel. He looks to the Trill male and smiled. He then glanced to the PADD for just a moment. “Give me just one minute.” He said his voice offering up a smooth tenor tone. He looked through the chart and smiled. A patient nearby who seemingly just finished treatment got up and left the module. The NLt. points towards the newly empty bed. “Bed 8 just opened up, if you would just sit on the biobed and the Doc will be with you in just a few minutes. Seems she had a last moment consult.” He explained with a smile.

Jon nodded with a smile. “Thank you!” Walking over to bed 8, he sat down and waited for the doctor. I must mention to the doctor what an excellent and efficient NLt she has. He said to himself.

It takes a bit of time, at first a few minutes pass, then five, at the ten minute mark a woman in a white lab coat walks over to the man who had been occupying the bed that aparnetly had a moniker of bed eight. She gave a warm smile as she cluched a PADD to her side. “I apologize for the wait, I hope it wasn’t too long. Lt. Neeler marked that you’re here for an onboarding physical. Can I get your name please?”

“Muhjon Vamuhn ma’am.”

“Muhjon Vamuhn…” She said as she pulled up personnel files and medical records scanning through them. “There isn’t much here, that’s okay. I suppose I’ll have to requisition them from the Federation Marines. Welcome and congratulations on being our new Chief Engineer. Seems you’ve had history on the Chimera before with the Marines. What made you come over to Starfleet?” She asked warmly tilting her head to the side and raising one of her well cared for eyebrows. “If it’s classified I understand. I’m just a curious person is all. Now, is there something about your health that bothers you now?” She asked softly. “Just routine questions I promise.” She affirmed and then waited his answer.

He laughed. “First of, nothing I’ve done would be classified so ask away. Secondly, that Lt. Neeler fellow is very efficient. Thirdly, I came over because I wanted a more stable atmosphere for work and relationships. Mainly work because I wanted to design starships and warp drives but really couldn’t do that in the Corps. So I switched to make that happen.
Fourth, I have had nothing too major. Broke my left leg in a combat jump is all.”

“I see.” She smiled and sat down the PADD before pulling a tricoder off of her hip. “Thank you. Lt. Neeler is good at his job. He does keep us organised. It’s a tough job but he gets it done very well. That makes sense, well who knows maybe youll design something spectacular. I’ll look forward to knowing a famious engineer.” She gave a warm smile and pulled off the probe on her tricoder and swept it about him beginning her scans.” I would assume they used a osteogenic stimulator to help that…” she mused quietly gwntly waving the probe about.

He nodded. “Yes. They used a osteogenic stimulator. And as far as famous…” He chuckled. “I doubt that! But one can never know the future and maybe that might come true. I’d be just as satisfied knowing, I helped out my fellows. How long have you been here doc?”

After she noted the tricoders readings she recorded them into his records and nodded. “Good, ah come on you never knoe what could happen. As I heard a multitude of great discoveries were done so in complete accident. Trial, error, and fixing what didnt work. I’ve been here for a few months now. Not too long. But I have enjoyed every moment of bring here. How long were you with the Chimera before if you dont mind me asking.”
