Leo walked up to the door of the CSO’s office to report in for duty. He looked at the door, walked up to it to press the buzzer. He stepped back before he even pressed it. Straighten his uniform. Stepped forward. Stepped back.
Leo turned away from the door, pacing the corridor for up to a minute before walking back up to the door. He took a deep breath as he went for the buzzer again but stepped back once again. “Ensign O’Reilly reporting to duty… ” He muttered to himself as he walked back up, took another deep breath and pressed the buzzer this time, then stepping back quickly and held his breath as he waited for a response.

Unknown to the new Science Officer his pressing the button by the door was redundant as the doors swooshed open on their own. As the young officer nervously waited he would see a Caitian standing before a screen display on the wall beside her desk. Her fur was a vibrant red, black and orange mix in coloring and was glossy as she was very meticulous with her grooming. She appeared to be engrossed in the display and was muttering to herself as she studied it, tail lazily swishing back and forth with her ruminations.
