OOC: I think I have an idea for an NPC nurse character, if you don’t mind me introducing her.

At just about that moment, an Andorian NC stepped out from the nurse’s station nearby. She had the look of someone who had seen many a patient walk through those doors, and the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer in the Marine Corps to boot.

Approaching the two officers, she made her presence known by offering a short salute - nothing super fancy, but enough to show that she was a Marine through and through.

“Lieutenant Javal, I am NC Vorao Sh’chionness, head nurse on the USS Chimera. Welcome to Sickbay, sir,” the NC said.

Javal returned the NC’s salute before cusping his hands behind his back once more.

“Thank you, NC. Your timing is very punctual as I was explaining to NE Fodder here that it would be most logical for me to familiarize myself with the requisite medical department protocols aboard the Chimera as its new CMO as soon as it is convenient.”

NC Sh’chionness nodded at the request in a matter that suggested that she already knew that it was coming.

“I’ve already taken the liberty of uploading all of the specifics of our protocols to the CMO office’s library computer, sir. I can also prepare our personnel for a departmental meeting as soon as your onboarding tasks are complete,” the NC replied smartly.

“Very good. Have the department meet me in the staff conference room at 0300 hours,” Javal said.

He found himself rather intrigued by the competent manner by which the head nurse conducted herself - the many tours that NE Fodder had referred to, coupled with the stringent Marine Corps training, seemed to have produced a sense of discipline in NC Sh’chionness that was quite admirable to Javal’s Vulcan sensibilities.

With that, the NC nodded and headed off to pass on the news, leaving Javal with NE Fodder once more. He glanced at the chronometer and noted the time before turning over to speak with his tour guide.

“It appears that the time for my meeting with Captain Andreassen is steadily approaching. Would you mind leading the way to the bridge, Mr. Fodder?”

“Of course Doctor,” NE Fodder nodded, “Captain Andreassen indicated she would be completing some paperwork in her ready room which is just off the Combat Information Center or CIC as we call it, if you’d like to follow me, we can head there now.”

“Very well, Mr. Fodder. I believe my arrangements here are settled for the present moment and it would be best to be punctual for my meeting with the Captain. Lead the way,” Javal said in reply, taking one final glance around his new workplace.

“Of course, right this way,” NE Fodder lead the way to the nearest turbolift that would take them to Deck 23 where the Captain’s Ready Room waited.

After the lift deposited them onto the deck, “So this is the Combat Information Centre, which we call the CIC. It’s the Mjolnir’s answer to the bridge,” He explained, leading them over to a door just off the back part of the centre, “This is the Captain’s Ready room, I trust you’ll be alright from here on, but if you need further assistance getting orientated, do let me know. Welcome to the Chimera once again.”
