The diplomatic meeting went well, with few hiccups. The remaining mission objectives were also accomplished.

Unfortunately, the Shogun had gone down with all hands on board rather than allow a starfleet starship to fall into the hands of pirates, the Captain issuing the self-destruct shortly after it became clear they were not going to emerge victorious from an ambush orchestrated by some organized pirate factions.

The Chimera, however, was able to assist the mining operation in securing their corridor and after finishing that, the ship was ordered back to Meridian Station to await further orders.
