Venthi Crass silently made his way through the USS Chimera toward the sickbay where he had been told to go. His heart raced, a tinge of discomfort at being in a new place, but he knew there was need for this. It was all part of the schedule and what needed to be done, so he kept all of his emotions under control. Checking in was always the first step to these things.

Stepping through the doorway to sickbay, he waved to get attention of the medical officer on board, hoping he was not being a disturbance.

Chris had been sitting in sickbay’s waiting area for a little while, twiddling thumbs and quietly taking in the medical team busily moving back and forth as they worked. He’d been too absent minded to notice the young Ensign enter, but his wave caught Chris’s attention.

Assuming the medics were all busy for the moment he got up and sidled over to the Ensign. “I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you’ve got at least one medical ahead of you,” he joked with a smile. “Chris Francis, security,” he said offering a handshake. “At the moment I’m busy securing this seat in the waiting area if you’d like to join me?”
