The XO was walking down the hall to her office when a call came for her. The Captain wanted a security team assembled and a timeline for when it could be done. =/\=Not long sir. 10 minutes to get the team together and to the transporter room.=/\= Sara responded. She altered her course towards a turbolift. She needed to recruit security staff.

When she arrived at the security department, the doors hissed open in front of her. She stepped in and immediately began searching the room for available officers. She saw the duty roster. there were four officers on duty, but not currently on patrol. She stepped back from the roster. “Ensigns Neribi, Harris, Amangual, and Yemana. You’re required immediately for an away mission supporting the Marine landing party already on the planet. If you have any questions, ask them now. Otherwise, let’s start distributing sidearms.

“No questions,” Neribi spoke, keying in her access code to the weapons locker, “I presume though the standard rules of engagement are in play?”

“Correct Ensign. Our mission is simply to aid the Marine team in an engagement. No special conditions. No special equipment. Once everyone has their gear, we’ll proceed to transporter room 2.” Sara moved to the weapons locker and armed herself.

Once everyone was ready, they set off down the hall towards the turbolift. Sara hit her combadge. =/\=Cmdr Kiernan to Lt Hawkins. Please transmit your exact coordinates to transporter room 2. Reinforcements are on the way.=/\=

=^= Hawkins here Commander. We are at a nearby fortress, helping to reclaim it from Orions for the locals. I am backing my team away slightly, and transmitting you the coordinates. =^=

The team got into the turbolift and went down to transporter room 2. The team walked in and took their places on the pad. “Did you receive coordinates from Lt Hawkins?” Sara asked the transporter chief. “Yes sir. Ready to transport on your command.” Sara took a deep breath.

“Energise.” The team vanished as whisps of blue energy.
