OOC: This would actually take place before the current sim when the Chimera would have been at the Starbase. The GM prefers that I post in main sim as if Sheriye was already aboard.

IC:

After seeing that her things were stored in her quarters, Sheriye checked on the whereabouts of the Captain. The computer informed her that the Captain was currently in her ready room. Not surprising since she would be seeing to the final details before the Chimera was sent out again. Sheriye checked the computer index first though to be sure all the updates to the library and sensors had been seen to so that she could give the CO an update.

Moving over to the sliding door to her closet she tapped the door so that the mirror reflected her image back to her, she checked that her uniform was in shape before turning and making her way out of her quarters.

She was excited about this placement. Rear Admiral M’Ressa had contacted her two weeks ago with the offer for the CSO spot aboard the Chimera. Sheriye had been surprised, she actually hadn’t served aboard the Manhattan very long after being picked up on that unnamed planetoid. After being marooned on it so long she wasn’t really sure that she should have accepted a DH spot so soon. Mind you ten years wasn’t really that long but catching up technology wise took many hours on her off time to take courses and seminars online. Rear Admiral M’Ressa thought she was qualified enough though, so who was she to second guess a Rear Admiral?

The turbolift opened as she finished this train of thought and she stepped out onto the bridge, nodding to the duty officer before making her over to the Captain’s ready room door. She waited while the automatic sensor chimed within and let the Captain know someone was out here.

Sheriye CSO

“Come in!”

Sarah was sitting back on the couch in the ready room, slowly sipping on a cup of coffee as she reviewed the ship status reports. The Chimera was almost ready to go, just a few last details to go.

As the door opened up she sat the PADD down the coffee table. “What can I help you with, Lieutenant....”

Captain Allen - CO

“Ssherriye, ma’am.” Sheriye said as she stepped through the doors, the tip of her tail lashed back and forth behind her and betrayed her nervousness to anyone who knew her species. Her ears swiveled front and back a bit as well. “I am yourr new CSSO, trranssferrred frrom the Manhattan.” Her rumbling and purring voice slurred her words, made difficult as her jaw and tongue were not really articulated enough to speak Standard clearly. Caitians tended to hiss the ‘s’ sounds and purr out their ‘r’s.

The claws of her hindfeet, sans boots, kneaded the carpeting of the Captain’s ready room. It was obvious she was not aware of these nervous tics.

“Welcome aboard Lieutenant. Please, have a seat,” Sarah said as she motioned to one of the seats across from the couch. “Thank you for coming, I hope we hadn’t pulled you away from anything important on the Manhattan, and it was a quick trip.”

Captain Allen - CO

Sheriye made her way across the room and looking at the few chairs with backs, finally chose a stool on which she could actually sit without kinking her tail painfully.
“The Manhattan was jusst involved with rroutine patrrolss, so no nothing imporrtant. The sshuttle trrip was rroutine though we did pass a fasscinating meteor sshowerr which I wass able to catalogue.”

“Sounds like a fun trip Lieutenant. So Lieutenant, what is your specialty, does it involve meteor showers?”
