IC:
Revna was going back to her roots. Before she’d gotten her degree, before she had been thrust into trauma counseling, she’d worked in pediatric psychiatry. This office, was bigger and had plenty of room for a child to move around. She had always loved working with kids, and she was going back to that. She’d always been the peace keeper, the mother-hen of the children in her village. It was what she understood, it was what she was good at. She hadn’t been ready to end her career early, so she’d asked to move to a ship that had families, and she had found herself, here, on Atlantis.

The room was significantly different than it had been. The colors were primary and bright. There was a child sized table and chairs. There was a floor to ceiling books self filled with books, not PaDDs. Books on for all ages and on lots of topics. There were art supplies of paint, markers, crayons, finger paints, cameras, clay, and a large assortment of accessories. There was a real sandbox on the other side of the room with a large crate full of toys. There was also a water table. There was no couch or adult seating, but plenty of crash pads, giant pillows, foam climbing pieces, and joints, sticks, and blankets to build a fort. Half the room was filled with toys. So. Many. Toys.

Revna was currently sitting on the floor leaning against one of the foam climbing pieces. The doctors at her last posting had told her she would have to rest, take it easy, don’t strain or over work. Revna had never sat idle and she wasn’t going to start now. She had always been active and, come what may, she always would. Her lungs felt like they were working too hard, she she was leaning against the foam climbing block while sitting on the floor. She’d dumped the toys in front of her. And while she tried to relax and force more air through her lungs she sorted the toys. By age first, then by type. There were several big pieces, like a doll house, a set of miniture star fleet officers and ships. There were even things for a play house. She sorted them and then sat back again looking around the room, trying to decide where she would put it all. She needed storage. She put in a request for a floor to ceiling storage unit with storage containers. She had sent the furniture that had been in the room previously to be reclaimed and that gave her enough credits to request the new piece. Revna got up and moved the piles from the middle of the floor, setting up a few of the bigger pieces.
