“People can be idiots,” Phil replied, “If people want to avoid you, then this is their loss.”

Tyler smiled. “You’re right. Sometimes I just get a little too down on myself.” He reached over and took one of Phil’s hands.

“Thank you for inviting me to spend some time with you. It was really lovely. I’d like to get to know you better.”

“Well, I could do with hitting the shower,” Phil said cheekily indicating to old fashioned water shower cubicle in the opposite corner of the changing room.

Tyler chuckled. “Are you suggesting that you want me to take off my clothes?” He shook his head. He appreciated the forwardness, but he wasn’t wanting to rush into anything physical or sexual. Which wasn’t usually his style, but after his past relationship failures, he figured he owed Phil the courtesy of trying to at least take things slow.

“Well you don’t have to, but if you decided to join me, they’d get wet,” Phil said cheekily.

“That old shower looks barely big enough for one person, let alone two,” Tyler said. He gave Phil a pat on the shoulder. “I’ll let you clean up for now and let’s plan to have dinner together tomorrow night if you’re available. How does that sound?”

“That sounds like a plan,” Phil said as he peeled of his clothes and began heading for the shower, “If you want another drink, just help yourself.”
