=^= To any vessels with in -static- USS Mome-static- sts aid under -static- tack, ren -static- =^= that was the sum total of the message that had suddenly come alive on the comm station. It was a distress call, it was on a federation channel. One that had not been used in a very very long time. There was a lot of background static to the message. At the same time a single blue light began to flash on the science station. It appeared that a star had just been born from the cosmic morass, and background radiation. Or at least it had not been there a moment ago. On the engineering station there was a ripple in the power readings, but it was likely just a momentary flucuation in the some relay somewhere.

“Ummmm, Captain, we have a call for assisstance” Came the voice of the young ensign on the comm station.

“From,” Kelly said turning to face the young ensign at the comm station. They had just come off the adventure with Rho Puppis and with the USS Trenton. She had hoped to find a small out of the way planet to give everyone some downtime but that did not seem like it was going to happen today.

“Thats the problem Captain, itsvhighly broken up, I can not tell, the Tag says NX-05 USS Momentum, but she vanished 2 centuries ago” The c0mms officer stated.

NE Mouthy Comms

“Captain I am detecting a porobe at the edge of sesnor range, It apppears to be an old class 1 probe from that same time period.” Added NE Gizmo from the science station. “As well I think we may need Lt. Wells up here I am getting some strange readings in Astrometrics on long Range Sensors”

Relann stepped onto the bridge then and listened to the incoming info. “Trouble?” she asked, as she moved over to Kelly. The mood didn’t indicate that, but the info she had heard was pretty vague.

“Since when is a vague message that we can barely pick up trouble,” she gave her XO a half grin. “Glad to see your back. Science can you make some headway on the astrometric data coming in?” Kelly looked at the display of information appearing on the main screen. “Okay people tell me what I am looking at,” Kelly asked. “Relann bring up any information on USS Momentum,” she ordered leaning back in her seat taking a sip of her coffee.
