“Hey Lex, gonna go… duty… something… bye.” Ian said as he took the call off from her as he looked at Kelly with his eyes wide. “What… what did… I… this is why you are not allowed to open any diplomatic meetings. You are banned… I should put this down on your record!” Ian seemed to shout, but a smirk on his mouth let her know how much he found a sense of sick twisted humor in all this.

“My permanent record,” Kelly winked at him and began her tirade on how bat shot crazy Ian’s two friends were.
NEXT MORNING CHRIS’ ROOM
After sitting up half the night thinking, Lexi decided she was going to tell Chris the truth. It was only by pure chance, Chris had not run into Noah at the hotel. That chance would reach zero in two days when she walked down the aisle. She had to come clean and tell Chris the truth. Ian had been little help with the dry run of how to break the new even going to the extent to fake that the comm system in the hotel was on the fritz. The dawn brought more clarity to her predicament. Yesterday was just so perfect. It had been months, well fifteen months exactly since Lexi had had a chance to just hang out with Chris. As selfish as it was Lexi needed that time with Chris. Once she had applied enough makeup to look like a mobster’s wife to hide the fact she cried most of last night, Lexi dressed Ruth in jeans with an autumn toned plaid shirt. This matched the shirt Lexi was wearing. It might have been cliche but she had been given the t-shirt set that said MOMMA and MOMMA’S MINI. It was one of Lexi’s favorite outfits to wear. “Okay you ready wingman,” Lexi said bouncing Ruth on her hip slightly. It was early but later for someone with a baby. Palming the door controls, Lexi waited for Chris to open the door. Letting out a long breath between her pursed lips, she hoped Chris was alone.
