Snip
The chime rang and Nash turned slightly and looked at the door. He wasn’t surprised, really that she had come. He was surprised at the way his own chest beat faster and his breath quickened at the sound of the chime. He took a swing of his drink and began to walk the short distance to the door, not content to simply give it the command to enter, but to greet her at the door himself. It also let him gather his thoughts for a moment, as here he was, the Chief Tactical Officer of a Federation vessel built for combat with enough power at his command to devastate a planet in seconds, and he had butterflies at the arrival of a woman he wanted to get to know better, explore more.
He wasn’t in uniform, he never was when he was off duty. The Off Duty Nash was a very different person to the On Duty Nash. Instead he had casually messed his hair, slipped on a tidy white collared dress shirt, rolled up the sleeves and chosen dark trousers. Simple, and smart. His collared shirt was open enough to reveal a silvered chain around his neck. Normally the outfit would have been completed by his patched leather jacket, hip flask and cigar, but the jacket was set over the back of one of the dining chairs and the hip flask was on the liquor cabinet.
Reaching the door, he paused and grinned, then adjusted the unlit cigar stub in the corner of his mouth and casually leaned on the door frame with his shoulder. He reached for the control to open the door, and his memory filled with Jessica’s taste, her scent and the sound of her laugh and soft moans. The way her shoulders arched when he found the spot on her neck that had given so much reaction while his hands circled her waist. His grin softened and he felt the rush of heat through him when his fingers touched the controls, the doors sliding open.
His ice blues met her emerald greens, the same eyes that he was remembering looking into the night before from a much closer distance. “Hi you,” he said in greeting, before his eyes travelled down and took in her pose and her outfit for the ‘casual’ evening she had insisted on and he all of a sudden got the impression that he wasn’t the hunter anymore. Her slinky green dress accentuated the curves he had found the previous night and matched the emerald of her eyes and with her hair tied high like that, every curve of her delicate jaw and chin stood out with the length of her exposed neck and shoulders. The gold of her earrings and necklace drawing his attention to the contrast of the jewelry against her fair skin, and his eyes moved back to hers with clear and obvious appreciation. The single silver pip on her collar strategically placed to be noticed only made his eyes glint with humor again with her pose and the look of confidence she had standing in his doorway.
“I’m glad you could make it, Doctor Jessica,” he said, purposefully looking at and ignoring the pip, but grinning at the same time to show he saw it. Still, he didn’t use her last name even though he now knew exactly who she was after Sickbay. “Come in, let me get you a drink. You look amazing, we should go casual way more often.”

As the door slid open, Jessica’s eyes widened even more as she took in the delicious sight in front of her. For once in her life, that wasn’t food, either. Her eyes traveled slowly from his tousled hair to his gorgeous blue eyes to the button up shirt, unbuttoned just enough to beg her touch, to the unexpected chain to the dress pants that he looked so amazing in… wait a moment. Her eyes shot back to his mouth and her heavy lidded eyes and sultry pout disappeared into a scowl. As was becoming awfully routine at this point, she tugged the cigar out of his mouth and held it up in front of his face, shaking her head in annoyance. Despite her attempt to appear unamused, the walk she took to the counter to place the cigar emphasized her petite body perfectly, the high heels accentuating her legs and rear.
Having tossed the offending item away, she made her way back over to Nash, her hips swaying slightly as she took lengthy strides for her height. She placed her two small hands in the middle of his chest, inching the fingers of her right hand up to trace the silvered chain where his shirt exposed it. Her head tilted to one side, exposing the soft curve of her neck that she knew he had so much enjoyed. She pressed her body against him, only separated by the hands on his chest and her head tilted to meet his gaze. The extra height her footwear provided delighted her and she inched him back against the unyielding wall of his quarters. Feeling the delicious warmth of her body against his, her left hand moved from the chain to the nape of his neck, making a mental note to ask him about it later as she ran her fingers into the hair she found there. Several fingers of her right hand slipped between two of the buttons of his shirt, tracing the soft skin below. Finally, she pulled his lips down to hers, tentatively and teasingly brushing them together. Her tongue lightly outlined the seam of his lips, then her teeth gently scraped across his lower lip before parting just enough to murmur at him:
“A physical? Really, Commander?”
“I wouldn’t think you would have a problem with that, Doctor Jessica,” he grinned, his hands slipping around her waist as she pressed against him. “It felt like a good idea to make sure I was in good condition after last night, but I wasn’t sure if you made house calls.” His grin softened a little as he moved his head forward and lightly kissed her again, just for a moment before moving back a little and looking at her.
If he was going to insist on calling her doctor, she was going to return the favor each and every time. Plus, well, it kind of made him even more hot… even in Sickbay, he had sent a chill down her spine. Eventually, she’d have to get him to stay in that uniform. It seemed unfair that they looked so good on a man and so unattractive on a woman. Her mind wandering, she was close to forgetting her slight annoyance that he had invaded her workplace looking for her. Her cheeks reddened at him searching her out… she had thought the second date was just a part of his play like most of the guys she’d been around for the last few years.
After another few beats of being close enough for him to sense her slightly ragged breathing and racing heart beat and to feel her body trembling slightly against his, she released her hold on him and took a step back. A wicked grin came over her face as she pulled her ponytail over one shoulder to play with it. She fought to direct her attention to the table and then looked back to him with one carefully raised eyebrow.
“What’s for dinner?”
Ensign Lemann, Med
Nash could think of several things he wanted other than what was on the table, but she had made it clear in Sickbay, no date, just dinner. He smirked as he pushed himself off the wall and moved past her to the table, letting his hand touch her hip and his fingers follow her waistline over her dress as he passed slowly. He had no trouble with where his eyes should be, they were on her and her grin, her pose as she toyed with him.
“After last night, I think I owe you something good seeing as we skipped most of dinner and went straight to dessert,” he pulled the chair out from one side of the table enough for her to sit. “I don’t think you will have much reason to complain, lets see if I have you picked out shall we?”
