Nash laughed, and came to a stop opposite the couch from her, grinning. “All I’ve got? Did you forget I’m the ships Chief Tactical Officer?” He gave her a slow wink while his grin turned dashingly evil. “My job, is to have plans and contingencies, to see opportunity where there are obstacles.”
He stretched leisurely, bare chested and then put his foot in the couch and leaned forwards, elbow on his knee. “Computer, authorization Nash Omega 88. Erect a security forcefield around my position.”
Seeing as Jessica was wearing Nash’s uniform tunic, which happened to have his comm badge pinned to it still, a protective security field sprung into place instantly around Jessica.
He grinned, then walked to the replicator. “Computer, double helping of bacon, scrambled eggs with cheese and sausage, and two large coffees.” Moments later, he had placed the coffees on the table and carried the plate to where Jessica stood. He picked up a piece of bacon and inspected it, then took a slow bite as he watched her and smiled. “Are you hungry? Ready to relinquish my shirt and join me for breakfast?”

Jessica’s attractive features turned a shade of red again, but it wasn’t out of pleasant feelings this time. Her blonde eyebrows furrowed as her green eyes flashed at him. As they settled on him as he enjoyed his piece of bacon, she quickly and gracefully pulled the red tunic over her head and, leaving it inside out, balled it and threw it at the forcefield, watching the satisfying bounce and thud as it impacted and then fell to the ground by her feet. She paused a moment and glanced around the room, noticing Nash’s bathrobe still flung on the couch from the evening before. Her plan hatched, she daintily placed one foot on top of the ball, crossing her arms in front of her body.
“You cheat,” she commented, her voice particularly even and with one eyebrow arched. “And yes, I am most definitely ready for breakfast.”

Nash smiled as he looked her over casually, and finished his piece of bacon. “How can I cheat when we never established the rules of engagement? I don’t think I cheated, I think I got you fair and square.” He turned and put the plate back on the table with the coffee, and then walked up so he and Jessica were facing each other directly with only the shimmer of the forcefield between them.
“Computer, disengage security field around Lieutenant Commander Nash.” A second later, the shimmer dissipated and she was free again. The fact that she had balled and dropped his tunic meant little to him, especially when she stood there in that pose eyeing him feistily. She was cute when she was grumpy.
