Quickly he checked her vitals on the bio bed readouts then pulled his tricorder out and began scanning the limb. “Still with me ?” He asked without looking up from his readouts.

M’Lene was a little out of it but nodded slowly and grinned. “Yep…still here…” she murmured. “My arm feels kind of weird though…” she added as she poked at the fingers on her hand which had gone completely numb.

The read outs showed that her blood pressure and pulse rate had gone through the roof although were coming down since the medication had taken effect. Her arm was badly broken in several places with a couple of free floating splinters off the bone. The most urgent issue was a dislocated elbow which was currently pressing on the nerves and blood supply, cutting off the feeling and circulation to her hand, without prompt action the damage could be permanent.

Having seen Ryley helping M’Lene to a boiled, Jessica made her way over to the two, keeping an eye on the biobed readouts. She had been about to fetch medication for the Caitan’s elevated blood pressure and pulse rate, but with whatever Ryley had administered thus far, she saw that they were slowly coming back down. Her eyes sympathetic, she placed a comforting hand on M’Lene, far away from the shattered arm and directed her attention to Ryley.

“How can I help, sir?”

M’Lene instinctively reached for Jessica’s hand, she wasn’t sure what the doc was about to do but she had a feeling it wasn’t going to be pleasant and she was glad of the support. “Does it look bad doc?” She asked nervously.

Jessica wrapped her hand around the Caitan’s and used her thumb to stroke it comfortingly as she jostled Ryley slightly to peer at the tricorder readouts.

“Well, you’ve certainly done a number on yourself, Lieutenant,” she said with a smile. “We’ll try to have you fixed up in no time at all and then you can get back to your usual antics. I arrived a bit late to the party… what exactly did you do to cause this?” Jessica hoped to keep the CSO talking a bit to both monitor her well-being as well as distract her from whatever Ryley was going to do next. And sure, she was also a little nosy and wanted to know what the heck had happened to lead to quite a bit of damage.
