“… and then she punched him.” Rand said dryly as the three officers stepped out of the turbo-lift and onto the bridge of the Atlantis, the doors sliding shut behind them. The Atlantis wasn’t the first Mythology class ship that Ros had been assigned to, so his glance was more focused on the crew at their stations than the spacious control room itself.“How was I to know that sarcasm is considered flirting among the Gura?” Nash shrugged.
“Probably the same way you would have known that being punched is their way of accepting your blatant flirting, if you bothered to read the diplomatic briefings.” Rand countered.
“And miss out on the opportunity to FAFO?” Ros turned and grinned at the pair. It had been quite a while since the three of them had been back together. “That just wouldn’t be Nash, would it? Anyway chaps, thanks for the honor guard. I think I can find my way from here.”
“Are you sure? Nash tilted his head as if he wasn’t convinced. “Last time we let you wander around by yourself you infiltrated a crime ring on OEDV and made friends with the undesirables. No telling what you’ll get into round here if we let you go unsupervised.” “Yeah,” Rand folded his arms across his chest and lifted his chin slightly. “This is a proper ship, not one of those tramp steamers you’re used to. Just stick to the brightly lit corridors and you’ll be fine I guess.”
“Then how would I catch up with you two again if I avoid the places nobody else wants to go?” Ros smirked and turned for the door to the Ready Room. “Why do you think we hang out in those places?” Nash patted him on the back, passing him a cigar from his pocket, one that was surprisingly unsmoked. “Welcome aboard chap, good luck in there.”
“Why do I need luck? Kelly likes me remember? We’re friends.” Ros pressed the chime to the Captains office, sliding the cigar into a pocket and turning to see both of the officers heading back to the turbo-lift. “I think,” he said to himself, trying to think back for a moment to the last time the two of them had caught up.

“Come,” Kelly said through the door. Seeing the man walk through, a lop sided grin covered her face. “Akirel Ros,” she said standing up and moving around the side of her desk. With most officers, Kelly would offer a firm handshake and a cup of coffee but Ros was different. Moving up to him she embraced him in a hug. “Oh my God what has it been like three years?”
“The last time I remember seeing you,” she let him go and moved to towards the bad, “well lets be honest, I don’t remember much of that night but I remember you and Dante stumbling back to the house we all rented and Natasha speaking in tongues. That home brew vodka she makes can give Romulan Ale a run for its money. How have you been,” she said rummaging through several bottles in the cabinets looking for something specific.
