Gilly finished speaking with the counselor and headed toward her last stop. Meeting Captain Bordeaux. She still had to report for duty with Captain Styxx, but it was also important that she report for duty with the Captain of the Atlantis.

She wondered if the Captain was on the bridge, ringing the chime one more time before going to the Bridge to see if she was there. It would be logical that she would be. Reaching to touch the chime again. Gilly waited.

“Come,” Kelly called out clearing off her desk. There had been a resurgence of new crew on the ship over the past month. Kelly has planned to meet with all of them as time permitted.

Gillian stepped through the door and stood at the loose attention that she had perfected over the years, “Lt Gillian Adams, reporting for duty as ordered.” She said as she turned over one of the PaDDs that she held in her duty uniform.

Kelly took the PaDD and glanced at it. Gillian’s paperwork. I was all in place and Kelly scanned it briefly. “Coffee,” she asked heading back to her desk. It was an implied direction for Gillian to follow.

Sitting down at her desk, Kelly set the PaDD to one side. “So tell me about yourself.”

Gilly followed the Commanding officer to the seats “Coffee would be amazing.” She said “The life juice of any good soldier.” Gilly took a seat and looked at Kelly “Been in the Marines since I was 18. Served in several combat zones, been shot at, shoot several times. Done stupid things that were of questionable sanity, but I am dedicated to my team and the protection of the ship and crew. You tell me to jump, I ask two things: How high and what’s my mission?” She said “If we don’t have a specific mission, it becomes a recon situation, until it is no longer a recon and my mission objective becomes clear. We are the plan B when all other plans have failed.” She added “I know that Star Fleet likes to take a more diplomatic approach and I can be diplomatic but my job as I see it is to make sure this ship and her crew are secured and safe, as much as they can be.” She said taking a long drink of the coffee.
