The rocking of the ship calmed, in fact it was quite peaceful with the exception of the casualties that started rushing thorough the doors. The first set was easy enough to diagnose on sight, plasma burns. “It was deck eight, doc…” said the three sets of officers who were carrying, three different injured people. “The wall blew up right in front of them.”

Deus Ex Machina

Ashlynn was on duty when the wounded started coming in and turned the rest of the team that was on duty “Get them on bed and start treating with dermalin gel. Make sure their airways are not compromised.” She said moving over to the closest officer that had been injured. She touched her comm badge =^=Summers to Ryley we’ve got casualties, I need you in Sickbay.=^= She said as she began her inital scans of the officer in front of her.

Phil had been in Sickbay at the time carying out a medical evaluation on a new marine when the ship had shaken. When the casualties started to arrive, he dismissed the young marine to create more space for the casualties that were flowing in.

“Dermalin!” he called for as he chose a patient and scanned to check airways. A nurse whistled to get his attention and tossed a cylindrical tube containing a pale blue, translucent gel to him. Phil caught it with ease in one hand. Seeing the applicator nozzle already attached to the tube he instinctively double checked the contents and began to apply to cooling gel to the plasma burns.

“This will help to soothe the pain,” he said gently to his patient who was clearly in pain and terrified.

Ashlynn looked at the ones that had brought them in “What exactly happened?” She asked to anyone that might know the answer, she turned to one of the nurses “Go to the supply room and get more dermalin gel and hydronolin to help with the pain.
