Later in the evening, Tyler made his way through the corridors to Relann and Jacen’s quarters. Being a department head now meant that he didn’t have quite as far to travel. He had ditched his uniform and opted for a maroon colored sweater over navy blue slacks and tan colored boots. In one hand he carried a single flower - a large purple orchid. In the other he carried a small basket with several boja fruits he had harvested earlier in the day.

Reaching the door, he rang the chime, a smile on his face.

“Door,” Relann said aloud and it opened to admit their friend.

She was sitting on the sofa with Sowyn, who was reading through a small old looking book. Relann beamed. “Good evening, Tyler. I’m glad you could come.” She rose to her feet and moved to greet him, adjusting her indigo linen skirt. Turning to Sowyn, she smiled at the girl. “Sowyn, do you want to say hello to Tyler?”

The girl looked up and smiled right up into her violet eyes. “Hello! I’m doing my homework before bed,” she said intently.
