OOC: Hey everyone!

Just a quick note to let you know that anyone is welcome to join our poker night! I’ll start the game once we have three players, but feel free to jump in at any time. I’ll be randomly messaging players directly with their hands to keep things exciting and fair.

Naxel Boral, the Bolian bar keep, hummed softly to himself as he moved about the lounge, the soft blue lighting casting a calm glow across the room. His bar was a popular spot on the Atlantis, a place where crew members could unwind after a long shift. Tonight, he was setting up for a much-anticipated game of poker.

With his signature grin, Naxel arranged the poker table with meticulous care. The deck of cards was laid out, freshly replicated chips stacked neatly beside each player’s seat. Naxel’s antennae twitched with satisfaction as he ensured everything was in its place.

He had a knack for creating an inviting atmosphere, and tonight was no different. The scent of freshly brewed raktajino mingled with the aroma of Bolian spiced bread, and the gentle hum of conversation filled the air as crew members began to trickle in.

“Good evening, friends!” Naxel called out, his voice a warm, welcoming presence. “Welcome to poker night. Grab a drink, take a seat, and let’s see who walks away with tonight’s bragging rights.”

As he moved behind the bar to prepare drinks, he couldn’t help but feel excited about the game ahead.

Kaden had finished a shift in engineering and headed to the bar. He had heard the bar where Naxel bartended was a really nice place to hand out. The bartender was always doing things for the staff. He was curious to see what was going on and headed down to the bar. After a few minutes, he arrived at the bar and entered. He saw a poker table with cards and poker chips. He walked over to Naxel and said, “Hello, I believe you are Naxel. I see you have a table set out for poker play. I would love to be involved if I’m allowed to join.” He took a seat and waited to see if he was going to be dismissed by the bartender.

Naxels face lit up with a bright, ecstatic grin as Kaden approached the poker table. “Welcome, welcome!” he exclaimed, his voice brimming with enthusiasm. “It’s always a pleasure to see new faces at poker night.”

With a flourish, Naxel reached behind the bar and poured a drink. “What can I get you? Tonight’s special is a Bolian Breeze, but I can whip up anything you like.”

He gestured to the seat at the table. “Please, make yourself comfortable. We’ve got a couple more players to join, and then we’ll get started. In the meantime, enjoy the drink and feel free to chat with the others.”

Naxel’s antennae twitched with excitement as he watched Kaden. “Poker night’s all about fun and friendship oh and a bit of bluffing ofcourse,” he said warmly. “So relax, have a good time, and let’s see where the cards take us.”

With that, he moved back to the bar, his mind already buzzing with anticipation for the game ahead. As more crew members began to trickle in, he welcomed each one with the same enthusiasm, making sure everyone felt at home.

Kaden noticed Naxel seemed extremely exciting. Kaden thought maybe this was extra exciting for Naxel but he was not sure. Before Naxel got out of ear shot, Kaden said, “I will try one of the specials for tonight. Lets start with a small one so I can taste it.” Kaden figured this was a good way to meet some folks on the ship since he had only been around for a short time. He was trying to branch out and find ways to meet people which did not make him feel totally awkward. He was not only curious of who was going to show up but what the drink was going to taste like. He went ahead and sat down and waited for his drink and other folks.
