In the heart of Napharia, nestled within the depths of their grand oceanic city, a new chapter in their civilization’s history was about to unfold. The Narvhalarians Exploration Space Agency (NESA) hummed with anticipation as ground control prepared to communicate with their two pioneering vessels, the Narvhalarian Voyager and the Aquatic Explorer. For generations, the Narvhalarians had gazed upon the stars with wonder and curiosity, dreaming of the day when they would venture beyond the familiar embrace of their aquatic home. And now, that long-cherished dream was on the verge of becoming a breathtaking reality.
As the Director of the NESA, Maritandralyx stood at the helm of ground control, their heart swelling with pride and excitement. With a single nod to their team, they initiated the communication link with their intrepid crews.
“Attention all, Narvhalarians Voyager and Aquatic Explorer crew members, this is ground control,” Maritandralyx announced, their voice resounding through the control room. “Today marks a historic moment for our civilization as we embark on our maiden warp flight. Your unwavering courage and tireless dedication have propelled us to this pivotal juncture in our journey of exploration.”
Onboard the * Narvhalarian Voyager*, Captain Thalvarinixia sat a little taller, his eyes ablaze with determination as he addressed his small crew and the people watching. “This is Captain Thalvarinixia. We stand on the precipice of history, ready to chart a course into the unknown. Together, we carry the hopes and aspirations of our entire civilization. Let us forge ahead with courage and unity, shaping the destiny of all Narvhalarians!”
Across the vast expanse of space, aboard the Aquatic Explorer, Captain Neridrastornyx spoke with unyielding resolve. “To all members of the Aquatic Explorer, this is Captain Neridrastornyx. Today, we embark on a journey that will redefine the boundaries of exploration. Let us navigate the cosmos with reverence for the wonders that await us and the determination to overcome any challenge that may arise.”
With bated breath, Maritandralyx and their team watched as their vessels powered up, their sleek forms glinting against the star-strewn backdrop.
“3…2…1… - Activate.” A chorus of cheers erupted in the control room, echoing the triumph of their collective spirit and the limitless potential of Narvhalarian ingenuity.
As the euphoria settled, Maritandralyx addressed the captains once more, injecting a hint of levity into the moment. “Thank you, Captains. That will suffice for now. Power down your systems. With luck, the council of the deep will soon grant us clearance for our inaugural test. Perhaps take a moment to refine your speeches,” chuckled Maritandralyx. “We reconvene in 12 hours. Rest well and continue the preparation checks. Until then, ground control out.”

USS AtlantisKelly sat on the bridge leaning forward in her seat with her eyes staring at the field of stars. Her posture was more of someone on edge waiting for news than the pristine captain sitting in their chair. A lot was riding on the next few minutes. The Atlantis had arrived in a far-out orbit of the planet a few days prior and had just been waiting. On some level it felt like the waiting associated with the birth of a child. It would happen when it was ready to happen; and yet that did not make the waiting any easier.
They were too far away to see the ships in the celestial sky but the long-range scanners knew what to look for as an energy signature. The moment it became apparent the Narvhalarian’s achieved warp, the Atlantis would announce their presence. Captian Kelly Bordeaux tended to be relaxed in her command style unless they were in an active combat situation however today she was just as tense. First Contact was a significant event for the Federation and for a Captain.
Space was a busy place but the universe was massive. Finding new civilizations was easy when the civilizations were looking to be found. Civilizations that were just exiting the small mass of dirt and water they called home were far rarer. Come on. Come on she whispered silently to herself rooting for the fledging world to spread its wings and join the larger community of the galaxy. Sitting back in her chair, Kelly asked the general question of her command staff. “Any indication by long-range scanners they have achieved warp?”
Kelly Bordeaux CO
Scanners will show that the ship powered up all its system but did not achieve warp flight, though the ship was in communication with its ground control and the crew could listen in if they wanted, further scans could give the engineering crew more information.

USS Atlantis“Plugs out test,” Jen said, rubbing at his chin. “Probably a final test of their systems before they go live into an actual go.” He glanced back to science and engineering. “We should get some good scans from this on how they will do and what they’ve done to build their ship. Can we listen in?”
- Jen, XOOn the ground, oblivious to the starship silently observing from afar, a wall monitor flickered to life, revealing a towering figure with two majestic tusks adorned with gleaming sea jewels. As more individuals gathered at the conference, the imposing character raised his azure hand, his voice carrying a melodious, almost hypnotic tone. “Scientist Maritandralyx,” he intoned. “How have your tests progressed?”
Maritandralyx, seated in her office, couldn’t suppress a smile. “We are poised to execute the final test,” she replied. “If our calculations hold true, we will achieve faster-than-light travel, venturing beyond the visual reach of our satellites and telescopes. We stand on the brink of becoming the pioneers of our own system.” She paused, then added, “But…”
“But you require the council’s approval,” interjected a crabby, shrill voice, belonging to a thin and gaunt figure on the screen. “This folly must cease! We have no need to traverse the stars or explore beyond our oceans.”
“You are mistaken, Davrionx,” Maritandralyx retorted, her voice firm. “Space is our timeless ocean, an infinite expanse awaiting our exploration.”
“Fortunately, Maritandralyx, the decision lies not solely with Davrionx,” interrupted another voice, this one authoritative and commanding. “As head of the council, you are granted permission to proceed with your tests…”
“Then…”
”…And should you succeed, we shall deliberate on the continuation of our exploration within our solar system,” the authoritative voice continued. “We would be naive to assume sole dominion over such technology, especially considering the ancient tales of extraterrestrial beings. You will launch tomorrow morning, Maritandralyx. May the tide guide your journey.”

USS Atlantis“Yes,” Kelly clapped her hands together as if the home team has scored a winning goal hearing the conversation being played over the bridge. Instantly realizing it was probably not the best reaction, Kelly settled back in her sear before giving her XO a slight smirk. “Oh come on. These sound like our people. By our people I mean those that toe the line slightly to get results without all the red tape. This is a wise Captain we are dealing with which should make this whole process easier.” Kelly was suddenly a lot more confident in her current skill set for this than before.
OOC: Nice!
IC:
Jen mused over that. “Modest but probably wise.”Kelly opened her mouth to ask if the comment was directed to her or the Narvhalarians but closed it instead. Maybe she didn’t want the answer.
His fingers tapped at the armrest as he thought. “Do we go to this council or do we communicate first with this Maritandralyx and find, as you Terrans say, a shoe in the door?” He leaned in. “But who is the tusked one? Do we know?”
- Jen, XO“Um shoe in the door,” Kelly stated. “Our orders are clear. They pop into warp and we are free to say hello. Besides we have the upper hand right now getting to know them through their comms. As to who is the tusked one, I have no idea.”
Kelly Bordeaux CO
Jen turned to the Science station. “Can you do a search on their intranet for facial recognition on the tusked one?”
Turning back he winced. “Is that the wise thing, Captain? They go to warp and then they get a signal form out of nowhere giving them a virtual high five and keys to the executive intergalactic washroom? There must be some .. tact .. within the orders so that the more suspicious of them can’t .. clam up .. pardon your Earth pun, and feel that they’ve been spied upon. I can only speak like an Andorian but we as a people would be very suspicious and feel we’ve been ambushed. I suggest contacting either the head of this council or the great tusked one, though we should find their names first. Saying hey you peek a boo we see you in space isn’t so diplomatic either.”
- Jen, xOPeter, who had entered the bridge a few minutes past but allowed for some time for events to take place before entering properly, walked to the Captain’s left and sat in one of the mission specialist chairs he’d used on occasion when on the bridge. “The governing body in charge of this experiment seems to be The council of the Deep and that one” He created a small screen on the viewscreen to show the tusked leader “The head of that council should be our point of contact but I’d recommend waiting until the return journey so they have their moment of celebration, not make their achievement be out shadowed by our arrival.”
CIO
If the crew decided to the seek out identity of the Tusked Narvhalarian it could be confirmed and found by either the continued monitoring of the surfaces communication specifically targeted to find out the information or by accessing the Narvhalarian data net. - Either will work but with what effects?

USS Atlantis“Stepping up to the leader directly from jump could be seen as aggressive.” Mardusk said to the CIO from the Security station. “Or even arrogant. It would be a bit easier to use the ship that makes the jump as a messenger. I’d also suggest we wait for their second jump to do it. Looks less like we are a stalker instead of a welcome committee.” He looked at the CO .”Then we can couch our arrival as ‘Hey, we were passing by and saw you guys hit warp. Good job. By the way, there are like thousands of other species and civilizations out here that would love to meet you. Whaddya say?’ instead of ‘We’ve been watching you, hee hee hee hee…’.” with the last bit said in a pretty spot-on and creepy Renfield from Dracula impression.
Mardusk, CoS
Peter nodded “You’re not wrong there” He said in agreement “But I think on a world with a potentially unified government that contacting them directly sends a better message than going the roundabout way, in case it’s misconstrued as avoiding proper diplomatic channels” He said as a counterpoint as he skillfully covered a smile at his unusual laugh and what he assumed was some sort of cultural reference
“Any way we do it, it will still be like ripping the band aid off,” she stated in a neutral tone. “In the twentieth until April 5, 2063 we knew we were not alone but we really didn’t know it. I have ready historical thesis from the 1950’s where they predicted the collapse of the society if governments came forward with UAO’s. The people that then were terrified of the cultural impacts of First Contact. Theologians claimed that it would be the downfall of religion if we found out we were not alone because how could the religious texts hold up if there was not an Adam and Eve. Political activists cited that anarchy would reign based on the European Earth’s first contact with isolated civilizations like the Inca and Mayans. In the end we all figured it out. It will be up to the Narvhalarian’s society to figure out how they fit into the galactic tapestry the second after we say hell. Our job is to be more of a tour guide as they figure out their new self-determination.”
“Andor had quietly tracked vessels they felt were space faring aliens for years. A first contact wasn’t quite as dramatic because it was expected, but we were more in for a fight than a peaceful contact. We rather thought they could handle the cold better than they did.” He gestured to the screen. “They seem to figure they aren’t alone but how it happens is never as they think.”
“Scan their data net to see if there is information on who the Tusked guy is along with faces to names we have been identifying. Also, scan to see how many other governments are on the homeworld. Are they all on board with this group that is entering the space or is it several factions each trying to get their first.” The Federation had sent them a huge data packet but reading did not equal understanding. One could read a book about a civilization but living with and working with a civilization was far different. No culture could be encapsulated into a data packet. The last thing Kelly wanted was to find out this planet was not fully united in the space quest. Making First Contact with a planet that had not fully united as a culture meant one side could use it politically to the disadvantage of another government. All these random thoughts and questions was what made First Contacts so difficult.
Kelly Bordeaux CO
“Could beam a note of congratulations into their ship on their way back with an offer to open communications if they wish on this frequency at this time,” Jen offered.

Cara sat at one of the auxiliary stations on the bridge and read over the information that was coming in. She requested the computer to access any media feeds, video or text, of reports about ‘The Tusked One’ so she could see for herself. She also requested media feeds, which should be easy enough to get by tuning into their radio signals, about the impending warp launch. She wanted to see what the people thought about the whole idea of space exploration.
She also did an inquiry about the international political climate. As the captain had said, they needed to know if the planet was untied or still separate entities.
Upon the planet’s surface, a vigilant Narvahalian monitoring the cyber security software detected a rapid surge in data upload. “That’s peculiar, Soralindrath,” remarked the observer, “Another spike, and so soon. Have we transmitted any data packages to the council? They’re the only authorised recipients capable of processing such large amounts of data.”
“Nope,” grunted a sizable Narvhalarian nearby. “Perhaps it’s worth escalating the issue to the Alpha?”
“Indeed,” nodded the observant Narvahalian. “However, the trail of the data package leads to no discernible end address. Furthermore, the link was established off-world… Could it be related to the shuttle?”
Taking a moment to contemplate, the Narvahalian continued, “Yes, that seems plausible. No formal requests, no designated destination. It must have been initiated by Maritandralyx.” With a decisive gesture, the Narvahalian closed the monitoring screen and leaned back. “Yes, undoubtedly Maritandralyx’s doing.”

USS Atlantis“Captain,” Cara turned in the chair to look towards the center seats and quoted the analysis given by the computer, “Lyndravalor, known as “The Tusked One,” embodies the qualities of a strong and respected leader within their society. Their leadership style, rooted in tradition and wisdom, is likely to shape their response to first-contact scenarios, emphasizing caution and diplomacy while prioritizing the safety of their civilization. Given the strong lean tawards diplomacy and tradition, I would strongly suggest givin’ the Narvahalians time ta celebrate and come ta terms with havin’ reached warp capability. Then send out a message on their general frequences directed at their leader.”

“Agreed but they need to hit warp first before we can do a damn thing,” Kelly stated in a slightly sad tone. She, like the rest of the crew, was ready to greet this new civilization. It was an exciting time for the Navahalians but also the Federation. It wasn’t often one got to meet a brand-spanking new civilization. It was like getting an unexpected present on Christmas and the excitement on felt at all the possibilities under the perfectly wrapped paper.

Peter read through the information “It seems they’ll be less shocked than perhaps one might expect” THe conversation previously had indicated that this was likely but to have it confirmed from them directly was a bonus, of course he’d like a tertiary source for confirmation but he didn’t want to draw too much attention to their little cyber breach.

Maritandralyx stood amidst the hum of anticipation, her suit pressurized against the vacuum of space as she awaited the arrival of her crew. Only four of them would undertake this historic voyage, a testament to the monumental effort that had gone into preparing for this moment. The ship, though small in size, represented years of tireless work, countless tests, and meticulous reconstruction—a culmination of decades’ worth of scientific breakthroughs. As she gazed at the vessel before her, Maritandralyx couldn’t help but feel a sense of wonder mingled with trepidation. What lay beyond the range of their satellites, beyond the confines of the Athereal Expanse that had long kept their civilization hidden from the galaxy beyond?
“Lost in thought?” came a gruff voice, breaking her reverie. It was Marxion, her co-pilot and navigator, his voice strained from the weight of his suit. “You know, I never imagined we’d make it this far, let alone with two ships. And to think we managed to salvage wreckage from the other side of the planet and rebuild it alongside our primary vessel,” he chuckled. “You’ve truly outdone yourself, Mart.”
“It wasn’t just me, Marxion,” she replied, her gaze softening as two more figures approached. “Our entire ground crew—our engineers, our scientists—they’re the ones who made this possible. I merely… waited.”
“Are we ready to go or what?” interrupted Tempxreon, her communications officer, standing alongside Drianxy, the engineer.
“I believe so,” Maritandralyx affirmed, her voice steady with resolve. “All preflight clearances have been granted. Let’s get strapped in.”
With a shared sense of purpose, the crew made their way along the exposed gantry, each step bringing them closer to the threshold of history.
Onboard the USS Atlantis their sensors would detect the initialisation of the warp core and engine start up, along with a large increase in communication chatter between the two shuttles and the ground control building.

USS Atlantis“Yes,” Kelly gave an excited arm pump before settling back into her seat and straightening her uniform top. “Okay people get ready for a green light. Security and tactical run a sweep to make sure everything is quiet and see if you can find any orbital security measures. The last thing we need to do is pull up next to a weapons platform as we enter orbit. I need a deep long-range scan of the area. I want to make sure there is nothing in space but us. The last thing we need is to be associated with some comet or meteor.” After issuing her orders, Kelly took a large sip of her coffee. Just because the the ship was seconds away from history, did not mean the Federation had to swoop in. There was time to greet them later. Let their culture celebrate the great accomplishment they had just achieved.

Jen’s antennae shifted, amused. “Would you like us to get out and sweep away the dust that might be in their path?” Prudence was good and Jen was not averse to these checks. Perhaps in this instance, however, he was getting caught up in the moment and not looking around.

“Attention all personnel,” They announced, their voice echoing through the room. “Prepare to release the Narvhalian Voyager from docking clamps. Standby for departure.”
The control room hummed with activity as technicians and engineers worked swiftly to execute the director’s commands. On the main display, the image of the sleek vessel hovered, its hull gleaming under the fluorescent lights.
“Docking clamps released,” came the confirmation from a technician, their voice tinged with excitement.
“Confirmed,” Maritandralyx replied, her heart racing with anticipation. “Proceed with the pre-launch sequence.”
The ground control guided the Narvhalian Voyager through the final checks, ensuring every system was functioning flawlessly. As the countdown to departure began, the tension in the room mounted, every second ticking by with palpable intensity.
“Engage thrusters,” Maritandralyx commanded, her voice steady despite the surge of adrenaline coursing through their veins.
“Those pilots must be nervous. Every eye on their world will be on them,” Jen commented.
The Narvhalian Voyager surged forward, breaking free from the confines of the docking bay and into the vast expanse of space beyond. Cheers erupted in the control room as the vessel glided gracefully away from the planet, its trajectory set for the warp jump point.
“First ship away,” Maritandralyx announced, their voice filled with pride. “Proceeding to warp jump coordinates, 2 million meldons from the planet. Safe travels, see you soon”
As the ship powered the warp core and engaged the Atlantis would track the ship hit warp 1 its trajectory would take it directly through the Athereal Expanse. As the crew monitored the ship enter the expense the ships science console began to erupt in noise and data started flowing down the screen, the ships proximity alarm sounded as a huge wave of an unknown energy surged towards the Atlantis.
“Shields!” Jen called out, standing and turning toward the source of the alarm. “Yellow alert,” he said, following that up. “What’s happening?”
Kelly braced for impact and waited for the officers at their stations to respond to the XO’s request. She had never experienced something like this. Ships went to warp all the time far closer than this. There was no expectation that the newly warp-capable species was firing at them. This meant the energy wave was secondary to the warp jump. That did not make anything better or less concerning.

As the wave approached, the Atlantis began to pitch upward, its nose rising slowly like a ship cresting a massive wave. Just when it seemed the wave had passed, a fleeting moment of calm descended upon the vessel. However, this tranquility was short-lived as chaos erupted with the force of a tempest.
Despite the Atlantis’ shields being primed for the impending wave, it crashed into the ship with relentless fury. In an instant, all internal lights flickered out, engulfing the bridge in an oppressive darkness that seemed to swallow everything in its path. Not even the usual warning claxon of a yellow alert or its accompanying hues could penetrate the gloom. All electrical components ceased to function, leaving the crew in a state of disorienting disarray. As the wave continued its inexorable journey through the ship, the darkness was pierced by the sharp crackle and pop of burning isolinear relays, consoles, and conduits. Minor fires ignited and sparks danced across the bridge in dazzling displays of light. The crew, whether standing or seated, were violently jolted by the impact, some forcibly knocked to their feet while others were rudely shaken from their chairs, their bodies tossed about like leaves in a storm.

USS AtlantisPeter had instinctively reached a large hand out to stop whoever it was to his right from falling out of their seat but hadn’t attached a harness so lacking two hands for support he was thrown out of his chair landing directly on his face to a sickening crunch. His vision darkened as his head spun for a moment, but he only waited for a few seconds before standing up. His face felt wet and warm, he put a tongue out and could taste something metallic, he gently put a large hand on his nose and once he touched it he grimaced with pain Broken He thought to himself. Peter looked first for the Captain and first officer to make sure they were alright “Call out if you’re conscious and able” He said in a loud voice, he felt a pain in his shoulder and his left side, he knew by instinct that he would not be able to raise his left hand over his shoulder, likely a fracture but the pain was manageable.
CIO
Aurra had just stepped off the lift when the ship was hit by the energy wave. Unprepared for the impact, she was thrown off her feet and landed on her chest and face. Sitting up, she took inventory of any injury that might have occurred. The only thing was a headache from the jolt of slamming forward and a bloody, bottom lip where her teeth had punctured it.
The doctor arose immediately and ran for the med kit that was kept on the bridge. “Doctor Talisse here—let me know if you are injured…” She spared a look for the Captain while making her way to Buckingham. The tricorder was already in her hand running a scan on his possible injuries. “Your nose is broken and your shoulder is dislocated. Let me help you.”
—Talisse, CMO
Peter shook his head “I can set my nose and stuff it and my shoulder can wait” He’d dislocated that shoulder before and putting it back in place could wait until more serious injuries were dealt with. He used the back of his right-hand sleeve to wipe the blood from his face “Please see if anyone else needs help first” It would take time to safely put his arm back into its socket, it was better than a fracture he’d first thought although he’d not be using the hand for some time.
The doctor gave him a nod and moved around the bridge looking for those that needed medical help.
As the wave hit Jen’s first thought was ‘Standing is not a good idea’. Then he was tumbling about the bridge not unlike a tumbleweed before coming to an abrupt and painful halt against a rear bulkhead. He was sure he blacked out briefly as he didn’t remember more but when he next was aware he was just behind the command level chairs and railing. His head throbbed and his left arm was ablaze enough for him to hiss with pain. Both hips were sore and his right knee was unhappy with him. He saw flashing lights and flickers of flame. Smells that should not be on the bridge were there mixing in his nostrils like one of his mothers in law’s cooking.
“Ship status!” he called out but it was more like a croak. Pushing himself up to a sitting position with his good hand he said again, “Status Report!”
He heard the doctor’s voice but had trouble seeing her in the firelight. While he could work his injured arm he was sure it wasn’t broken but it wasn’t right and was swelling. Humans talked about bruising being black and blue .. were that so for an Andorian few would notice but he would have a fine mix of yellow and black he was sure. “Captain?” he called out.
Moving to a console he tried to bring it to life and call up some ship’s status. What had happened?! If that had happened to them, what did it do to the alien’s world? To the Romulans? They were like a bad slip. Always showing up when you didn’t want them.
- Jen, XO
“Yeah,” Kelly groaned out wincing at the sound of her own voice. She felt a dull throb along with wetness running down her cheek. She was obviously not crying but reaching up to the spot, she felt a slippery sensation. It had to be blood. Using her sleeve, Kelly pushed her uniform into the wound trying to apply pressure and stop the bleeding. “Just a scratch,” she commented getting off the ground by pulling herself up from the edge of the console she must have flown into.
“I’ll be the judge of that, Sir.” Talisse called as she stood from setting a broken wrist. “Don’t move your wrist or hand until you get to sickbay and they can get the bone knitter on you.” she said to the crewman she’d just treated.
The security station didn’t have a chair, the OOD there moving around quite a bit. So as the wave approached, Mardusk clenched his jaw and held onto the console tight.
It helped, but not much.
As the ship was thrown violently around, his grip gave way and he was thrown backwards, his momentum only being stopped by the turbolift doors. There was a flash of pain… and then nothing. The giant Orion laid face-first on the deck, unconscious.
Marduk, CoS
Elbbirt was watching the science station as the ship went to warp in one of the pull out chairs below the consile. The chairs however were meant to move freely so they weren’t anchored. The chair flung back into the station and then toward the tactical station. When the pitching stopped he pulled himself up to standing
The bridge was pitch black. Power seemed to be down, or least the consoles were blown. There would be no readings. Sparks were flying and fires were starting. He stumbled his way over to an emergency storage locker and opened it. He grabbed a flashlight and turned it on and glanced around the bridge. Jen, Talisse, and Sigmundsson were all standing. Mardusk was… was face down and not moving. He stepped towards him to check him. “Cmdr Mardusk is down and unconscious. I’m afraid to move him until you check him, Doctor.”
“Coming…just a second…” Stepping over debris, she made her way over to where the big Orian lay out cold. She squatted down next to him and ran a tricorder over his frame. (OOC: sny particular injuries you want to have?)
He took a medkit and brought it to Talisse. He handed the others flashlights. Then he grabbed an emergency fire extinguisher and started putting out the small fires around the bridge.
NE Elbbirt
Jen caught movement but was hard to tell who it was with limited lights and the flashlights shining at him and not on the one carrying them. He caught a flash of a pip. Ensign. He may have recalled the name but his head and arms was throbbing. He was kneeling by Mardusk. That must have been quite the hit to take him down. After he addressed the doctor he said, “Ensign. You with the light. Find the Captain.” The bridge wasn’t ‘that’ big but it was dark and quiet and what lights just didn’t reach far enough.
Amidst the chaos on the Bridge, crew members scrambled through the darkness, their movements illuminated by the flickering light of sparking consoles. Though the ship retained some power, it was clear that not all systems were operational. Despite the urgency of the situation, there was an eerie silence—a stark absence of reports from other sections of the ship. Amidst the cacophony of sparking electronics, a keen ear would discern the unsettling lack of communication from the rest of the vessel, heightening the sense of unease among the crew.

USS AtlantisPeter went in search of a flashlight also, he’d let the others deal with the fire, he needed to check the ship’s status, and most everyone seemed disoriented. His vision hadn’t completely come back into focus and he quietly cursed his own inattentiveness, he hadn’t noticed the big Security chief go down and he still hadn’t seen the Captain. He went back to his bridge seat and grabbed a flashlight from a compartment near it, clicking it on and looking at the chair console for any status updates.

It was quiet. “Anybody! Do we have comms? Life support? Sensors? What do we have? Sound off. Who is conscious on the bridge?” His head hurt to say that. Tapping his comm badge he said, =^= Bridge to Engineering. =^= There wasn’t anything coming in. He suspected comms were off line but he could hope. They hadn’t blown up so the warp core was still intact for now. If another wave came through they were finished so no sense worrying about that. But .. didn’t they talk about a second ship making a warp attempt? THAT could be a problem. While Jen wasn’t unsympathetic to injury and damage he was more concerned with them surviving. And right now that was in limbo.
He said that while trying to coax something out of the console. If that looked dead he moved to the next. There was some power, but what did they have? If they were going to do another of those trials they would be dead unless they could communicate to say to hold off or if they could limp behind a planet for cover. Still, there were the Romulans. They couldn’t likely get away. Plan A. Warn if possible. Plan B. Get out of the way.
- Jen, XO“I’m fine. We need everyone at their station that can physically man it. If the person next to you can’t call it out and cover both until we find someone to help you. We need damage reports and then an answer to what hit us.” Jen had been barking out orders or at least that is what it sounded like as Kelly was coming too. “Peter take over security until we get the big man on his feet. I need someone at the helm to tell us if we are getting another wave like that anytime soon.”

The CO and XO were conscious and up and about, so Aurra continued to tend to the rest of the bridge crew. (OOC: if anyone wants specific injuries, let me know so Aurra can find them, otherwise, the degree you’re hurt will be up to me…)
