Life was full of calculations. Every day people made minute ones that affected their lives to varying degrees, sometimes for the better, and sometimes for the worse. It was once said that a computer could never handle so many of those calculations as interwoven as they were. However, with the emergence of androids, that idea was quickly disproven. SEAI’s existence was full of calculations. As a CMO, she constantly had to figure out what exactly was wrong with her patient, or if there was anything wrong at all (ensign Jenkins and his false alarms being one notable example). She honestly never expected to be given the position of CNS about a ship like the Atlantis, as temporary as it may be. She was an Android, and she was not one for empathy. Sure she could fake it, her original purpose being for infiltration, but some humans had the distinct ability to tell when one was not being sincere. Luckily for her, she had the advantage of being able to store and process massive amounts of data, which meant that she had full knowledge of all of the concepts of counselling. Hopefully this would be enough for now, as she did not trust her emotion chip to not go haywire if things began to escalate. SEAI may have been able to make a massive amount of calculations per second, but that mean’t nothing if she could not figure out the right way to apply them. With this in mind, she stepped off the shuttle and into the bay that she had been directed into.
