Aurra walked into her quarters. =/\=Computer, lights 50%, music…play something mellow and keep it going.=/\= She heaved a sigh and headed for the bedroom. Shedding her clothes like a snake sheds its skin, she left them in a pile on the floor and walked to the shower while shaking her head. “Why did he show up here? What are the odds of that actually happening?”Stepping under the spray of the water, her eyes closed for protection while hands pressed against the wall in front of her. Part of her wanted to cry because after all this time, seeing Bren again made her realize how much she missed her friend, or the friend he’d been before he’d betrayed her. She thought she’d dealt with all those feelings already. Surprise!!!
As she finally turned under the jet so the water could work its magic on the tight muscles of her back and neck, Aurra decided it was a good night to drink till it put her to sleep. She could treat the hangover in the morning as soon as she got to work. Yes, that was the ticket. Drink to forget—something she warned patients against doing. Well the old adage ‘physician heal thyself’ just wasn’t going to cut it tonight.
Several minutes later, wrapped in a towel, she made her way back to her room and picked out a pair of maroon leggings and an oversized, very worn t-shirt that still retained its original color around the seams, pink. As she walked to the replicator in the kitchen, she worked the towel through her wet hair. “Dirty martini, three olives, six degrees Celsius.”
—Talisse (anyone is welcome)
(two weeks later RPG time)
Things had been running smoothly in Sickbay since her arrival. The transition period was over with and everyone had gotten used to her and the way she wanted things to run in medical. Having caught up on all paperwork, Aurra decided a quick shower and change of clothes was the way to go before a sumptuous dinner in the lounge. It was time to relax and see more of the ship and its crew.
—Talisse
Entering the lounge at the same time as Talisse was the oversized Intelligence Chief “Doc Talisse, good Evening” He said as a greeting. Outside of staff meetings he’d had few interactions with the Medical Chief “Dinner time?” He asked.
