USS Atlantis
18 Forward
Aurra was already heading out the doors of sickbay when her shift officially ended. Since finding Brenner Satis there, she hadn’t done much other than worry and prickle at the idea that she might not be able to get him off the Atlantis. It bothered her that she hadn’t heard from the Captain yet. Had he actually reported to her? Better yet, had he told her why Aurra didn’t want him around. As she entered the turbolift, Talisse made a scoffing noise in her throat. There was no way he’d admitted to all of it, unless he really had changed.
That’s extremely doubtful! She grimaced at the thought. An hour later, Aurra found herself pacing the living area of her quarters, still unable to think about anything else.
“This is ridiculous! You have got to get a handle on this…” Once more, her feet traveled the path on the carpeted floor before she did a little hopping fit of rage with her fists clenched and eyes squeezed tightly shut. Finally, Aurra just stood still, trying to get her breathing under control.
A few moments passed before a noticeable change came over her and her body relaxed. She tapped her com badge. =/\=Talisse to Flexwood. Meet me in 18 Forward at 1900 hours…and wear something…nice.=/\= The handsome security officer would take her mind in another direction—and that was just what she was looking for.

=^=Acknowledged=^= Jacen replied before looking at the nearby clock. He had a little over forty minutes to get ready which was plenty of time. He’d been wondering when he would see the fair doctor again. She’d made her interests abundantly clear the last time they saw each other and something in her voice indicated that she had some steam to let off. If he played it right, this could be very good evening…
Flex quickly cleaned himself up and touched up the line of his beard. He wondered what she meant by nice… it was quite a spectrum, but given that they were meeting in 18 forward he decided not to go fully formal. He pulled on a pair of black slacks that fit his form in the waist and quads before tapering to a looser cut at the ankles, black socks, and his favorite pair of black oxfords. Returning to the closet, he thumbed through various shirts until he found one made of an emerald green synthetic material. It was light-weight, thin, and silky to the touch. He buttoned the shirt and moved to assess himself in the mirror… he liked the way it fit hanging loose at the waist but fitting more snugly around the chest and biceps. Taking a moment, he combed out his hair and beard before applying product to keep them in place. Pleased with the final result he applied a couple spritzes of cologne that gave him a light musk scent tempered with a hint of citrus.
Jacen arrived at 18:50 to find he was there first. He made his way over to the far end of the bar and ordered a mai tai while he waited.

It didn’t take her long to get ready once she put her mind to it. A quick shower, powder and perfume and she was ready to slip into something sexy. She wanted to destroy any image Jacen might have of her in uniform. Looking in her closet, Aurra pulled out a Persian Pink, body conscious dress that she’d never worn yet. Once she slipped it on and looked in the mirror, she smiled. Oh yes, that was the look she was going for—lots of skin and it hugged her figure like it had been painted on. The doctor tousled her hair, added earrings and heels and walked out the doors of her quarters at 18:55.
On the short trip to the turbo lift, she intercepted a few appreciative looks which reinforced her decision on the dress. At precisely 1900 hours, Dr Aurra Talisse entered 18 Forward with eyes for one particular man. She spotted him at the end of the bar and started over.

As the door opened, Jacen’s eyes were immediately drawn to the form fitting pink dress. It was a sight not usually observed on a ship like this and he was pleased to see it on the woman he was waiting for. As she approached the hunger in his eyes would be obvious, but it was clear that had been her intention all along. The rest of his body language remained relaxed as he ever so slightly leaned to his left resting against he bar. “Care for a drink?” He asked as she approached indicating to the barkeep to get her whatever she desired.
“Dirty, vodka martini.” She carefully climbed onto the barstool next to him, one hand on his bicep to steady her. “You look very nice, Jacen…very nice!”
Sitting in one of the cushioned corner seating tables next to the viewing window was Nash and his daughter, Hope. The pair had come for an easy dinner out while Emily was working a little later than usual and Nash, seizing the opportunity, had decided he and Hope could do with a much needed Daddy Date so off to 18 Forward it was.
The pair had finished their meal and was finishing off their drinks as they chatted about school and the homework that Hope was hoping to get her father to do for her, especially the science and engineering paper that was almost overdue and that the young girl had forgotten about till the very last moment. In her eyes, her father had pretty much built this ship so he should have no trouble making something amazing that she could get full marks for, and prove to that Maybelle Spunkler girl that she knew all about building stuff.
A movement near the bar and a flash of color drew Nash’s eyes for a moment, and he recognized the ships new CMO making her way towards the end of the bar where, if he recognized the face, one of the ships other newish officers sat. The man was dressed far tidier than an average night at the bar of effort would need, and that drew his eyes back to the woman. He couldn’t help but smile.
The way she walked, a sway to her hips and shoulders squared in the mans direction, eyes singling the man out keyed him in that she was here for a purpose, that she was hungry, and her appetite was eager for the menu she had decided on. Within the space of a blink Nash’s eyes swam with visions of the woman as one of the old time attack jets in the movies he watched, bearing down on her target and then, Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt, taking the shot and scoring a bullseye. Then he blinked again and turned back to Hope, internally wishing the pair a fun night as he took his daughters hand and walked from the lounge, returning home.
Feeling relaxed, he took the half smoked cigar out of his jacket pocket and put it in the corner of his mouth as he walked, then heard the voice next to him. “I’m gonna tell Mom you have that again.” He looked down as his daughter was looking up, staring at him. “How about we stop at that little shop in the civilian area, the one called Just Desserts? Would that keep it between us?”
Hope nodded and smiled, and Nash grinned. He had no delusion that Hope would keep quiet about it, and new the moment they walked in the door that Hope would announce he had put the cigar in his mouth, but, Nash was clever enough to know that if he arrived with Ice Cream, his wife might not get too difficult about it. Peanut Butter Hersheys Chocolate should do the trick, he decided. “Who was that pretty woman in the Lounge?” Hope asked suddenly.
“I have no idea, I didn’t see one” Nash lied immediately, that was one bullet he couldn’t dodge. “Ask your mother.”

OOC: Added to in epic fashion! Brilliant!
OOC: I agree, what a fun and well written addition!! Thanks for taking a minute to add to the thread!
IC: Flex didn’t notice as the pair exited. His attention fully on the CMO. Once she was close enough and had a drink in her hand he leaned in where only she could hear his words, while feeling his hot breath against her left ear. “Here I was thinking you wanted a night out, and you show up looking so damn good that I want to skip ahead.” Hunger entered his tone as he lingered so that he could inhale her intoxicating scent.

It was something of a feat to cross her legs, dressed the way she was and balancing on a stool, but the doctor managed it with grace. “I hope my last minute call didn’t interrupt any plans you might have had.”
The drink arrived and she emptied half of it before continuing. “It’s been a surprising day for me, and I don’t mean that in a good way. I wanted to blow off some steam and hoped you might help with that.”
