Hello crew,

If you didn’t catch it, or too young to get the reference, ignore my intro and focus on this. We have new crew members. Yes, these intrepid souls were scanning the ships in Starfleet and said “Well the Atlantis looks like a great new home so sign me up.” FYI your USS Atlantis…blowing up stuff since 2017 t-shirts are with the Quartermaster so pick one up and make sure you wear them at the next ship picnic in the hangar.

Now to our new crew. Well, one is spanking brand new, and two have been here for a month and I am not sure I properly introduced them so let’s do it now.

First up Jacen Wood who plays Warrant officer Jacen “Flex” Flexwood ( https://www.star-fleet.com/core/character/2068/ ). His character is in the security department with a background in special forces combat training.

Next is D Grisham who plays Lt. Aurra Tallisse ( https://www.star-fleet.com/core/character/995/). She is our new CMO.

Lastly is Charley Gilmore who plays Lt. j.g Brenner “Bren” Satis (https://www.star-fleet.com/core/character/2089/). He is another doctor so there is no line in sick bay.

All of these players are new in the sense of new to the ship but actually returning members with a lot of creativity and excellent role players. Strike up a thread with any or all of them and you will see why I cast off the mooring lines as soon as they boarded. So give them a hearty Atlantis welcome and make them feel welcome.

Also please please make sure you join in the main sim written by our amazing and fantastic GM Luke Hung. Our GM’s are the workhorses of the site and spend hours of their time creating a story for everyone to participate in. Please pick one from below. I have few real rules on the Altantis but I do ask for everyone to post to the main sim before posting to a side sim. I know that as the GM Luke has to adjust his posting to fit everyone’s posting rate on the ship but please post to it at a minimum once a week. Luke always incorporates a way for everyone to participate so just show up. You will not be disappointed. It is a fantastic story.

I am going to give a really brief overview of each thread. The MOTD of the Altantis has the races and a short overview of the main sim. Luke, feel free to expand on what I have written. The rest of you join a thread. They are all fun and interesting.

https://www.star-fleet.com/core/stf3/atlantis/posts/217076/ MAIN SIM - away team to the planet (XO, Tigress, Nash, and anyone else that wants to join) The away team is in an abandoned installation embedded in the side of a volcano on the planet the Atlantis is currently orbiting. The radiation detected on the piece of space debris is also on the planet but in minute quantities.

Just for fun… does anyone actually know the little jaunty tune above without having to google it?
