“Well, this place is charming,” Lexi said, tightening her coat collar. The landscape looked exactly as she expected. “At least we shouldn’t have to worry about wildlife. Probably just some crazy lichen and moss along with bacteria and such. Kinda chill for anything else,” she commented.

“Why exactly are we here?” Nash grumbled as he fished in the pocket of the cold weather jacket, taking a moment to find what he was after and stick the half-smoked cigar between his teeth. Taking his flip top lighter out of his other pocket, he paused before lighting it.

“Bit colder than where you’re used to right?”

Nash, CE

“I find it refreshing,” Jen said. “A nice change.

The lack of oxygen and the general thinness of the air made lighting a cigar an exercise in frustration and borderline futility.

With a gruff curse at whatever gods oversaw this planet, Nash gave up trying to light the cigar and put the lighter back in his pocket. He was happy enough to just have it sit between his teeth when working on the ship, this would have to be no different.

Moving along with the rest he was able to see Nash in profile. It wasn’t the first such thing he had seen. Indeed in the trenches and field he had seen quite a few with their device of choice. Amongst the Terrans such a thing was the most common.

” Not necessarily all kinds of Animals could live in this cold manly creditors” Tigress said. She looked to Quinn for confirmation that her memory on Zoology, was still good.

The mechanical cat Nodded.
” Right so lets get to work what are we doing” She asked.

“We’re making our way to the bunker just over there,” Jen said. “And hopefully we can find out what happened to the place and people, and if there is any indication of spatial anomalies. Something that may hint at us getting home.” The path was there. Perhaps it had been paved or more long ago. Now it was just a jumble and overgrown requiring them to pick their way along. While they could have beamed inside, having a look about was not a bad thing to get the lay of the land. He visually inspected it. It was exposed. If it was military it would be a fine target. At first glance it looked scientific, and rather isolated.

OOC: Little confused as to where you beamed down to. If you are outside as it seems, you can pick your distance to the base. There was a fairly overgrown path that clearly led to what should have been a door, but the wall was smooth and bare and while there surely had to be some sort of opening, there was no apparent way in.

GM

“Manly creditors,” Nash feigned a shiver. “What kind of horror planet is this? Creditors are bad enough but manly ones? Terrifying.” Throwing a smile in Lexi’s direction he began walking on the overgrown path to what, a short distance away of maybe 50 yards, ended in a smooth bare wall.

As Nash approached, he pulled out the typical tricorder from his hip and began scanning. “Lets see what we got shall we,” Nash spoke over his shoulder without looking. “Life signs, power signatures, hidden doors? Do yah think it needs one of them secret passwords to reveal the door? Maybe standing in front of it on the first full moon during a blood moon once every twelve years?”

Coming to a stop before it, he tapped the wall with his foot.

Nash, CE

Jen stood back and looked at the wall and the negligible door. “Perhaps the people who lived here didn’t have a fashion sense for doors. However, it does provide a security measure to delay anyone trying to gain access.” That told him that it was an important installation. Anything military would be much better guarded and much less visible. “Not that long ago my key for such a door would be a high grade cutting phaser or explosives.” He smiled over to Nash. “No waiting for blood moons necessary.” Were it a true security door, this could be one with no outside control but only activated from the inside. That meant another egress somewhere else. However, nobody had monitored this to their knowledge in a millennia. That told him that some forceful knocking wouldn’t make anyone angry. So too they could call to beam through it, that is, if the speak friend and enter ways were exhausted.
