“Rutherford Hill,” Relann replied with a deep smile as she accepted a glass. “It’s sort of become a tradition that when I’m visiting, that we go up there. Anita brings an incredible picnic and after sampling some wines we sit up on the hill with out lunch and enjoy the incredible views. We did that quite a bit when I was at the Academy, even though they lived so close in Martinez. The landscape reminds me quite a bit of my childhood home, though it’s a bit more dry, and I grew up right by the water.”

“I was born with sea legs,” Kelly laughed. “In Annapolis you start sailing before you can walk. My family had a large boat we took out just about every weekend. While most teens worked to get four wheels, I saved all my money to buy a beauty with an anchor and rudder. I can take you and your family out sometime. There is nothing like actually sailing on the open water. I rarely do it in the holodeck but prefer when I can to get out on real water. I love the feel of the waves below you and reading the ocean. Sometimes I think I was born at the wrong time. I think Ian debated how much he actually liked me the first few nights he stayed over. I typically play ocean sounds to sleep at night. The first night Ian told me he was up all night. The second night he swore he woke up seasick.” Kelly could not stop laughing. She knew Ian was just teasing. “It is one of the few growing pains we have been going through but if having to deal with white noise choices for bed is the biggest bump we ever have to weather then I am good with that,” Kelly held up her glass in a toast.

Relann lifted her glass and tapped it gently against Kelly’s. “I’ll save my traditional toast for a more serious occasion,” she said with a grin before taking a sip. “And I think it would be great to go sailing with you. Jacen and Sowyn would love it. I’ve never been myself, but we had a type of canoe that we’d take down the river to the coast. We couldn’t venture too far, but the cove was usually enough to thrill us.” Her memories were all childhood ones, so they were different than that of the adults of her village.

“So.. Ian....”-Relann lifted her brows and smirked slightly. “Are you going to fill me in? I’m not exactly ignorant about you two, but I don’t exactly know what the situation fully is either.”

OOC: I swear they haven’t had a conversation about it yet, but I could be entirely wrong and have forgotten.
