Sickbay was always supposed to be a place of healing. Quiet reflection, hurts being remedied. As such deference is always given for the sanctity of the stereotype. Not today however as anyone walking in or.out of the bay would be faced with the angry faced division chief yelling at what appeared to be a dark haired woman in a medical lab coat who was giving as good as she got in return.

Ryley for his part was laughing humourlessly at the last jibe from the woman as he attempted again to turn off the holoemitters in the bay. With each turn off he looked at her expetantly then cursed as she did not disappear.

“And another thing…look at how scruffy you look. Beard and jeans why arent you in uniform. Sp unprofessional!”

Ryley rounded on her and opened his mouth when an NE in blue with a bleeding hand had the unfortunate nerve to interupt. “Uhh…sorry i was just…can i get this treated?” He blinked and then confusedly added “…are you arguing with the EMH?”

“YES!” Both yelled at him at the same time causing him to look wild eyed between the two and bakc away slightly.

“She wont take a hint! She appears when she wants and wont leave! Watch computer end EMH programme.”

“Unable to comply” the computer chirpped.

“See!” He threw his hands up and she smirked smugly.

“I have a name you know. And MAYBE the computer wants someone to actully take charge around here. Actually do the job properly.”

“You are a dammed bit of code you shouldnt have a name! You should be a short bald guy fpr pete sake!!”

“Oh well now thats just insulting…”

And then they were off again voices rising as they went. The NE cast desperatly around for help or another medical officer.

Ryley and the EMH

Just as the arguing continued Linkin walked into sickbay. shaking his head at the argument. It was not the first time that this has happened. Infact it has been happning more often. Linkin was beginning to think that Ryley was beginning to form a unconventional relationship with the EMH. Stranger things have happened. he thought.

Noticing the NE cradling his hand he made his way to the man. “I’m Doctor Sulivin how can I help?”
