Hello Atlanteans,

I hope you are having a very Merry Christmas. It has been a crazy year for most of us. Lots of ups and downs but through it all we made it. I hope 2022 holds the absolute best things for each and every one of you. I hope that you know that I am always here, to celebrate when you are on top of the world or give you a hand to help you back up when life makes you stumble. I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your patience and friendship to me and to the crew as a whole this year. It’s been a struggle but when I was at my lowest at times, I know you all had my back in one way or another. Thank you!

So years ago, when I joined STF, I used to send my captain’s virtual Christmas gifts. I thought it would be fun to do again. If I won the lottery…this is what you would find from me under the tree. Since I haven’t…well use your imagination because that is what we all excel at on the crew. Everyone likes a present so gather around the virtual tree and let’s have some fun opening our imagination.

My first gift goes to my amazing XO, Gene Gibbs. Gene you have no idea how lucky I feel to have you as an XO, however, we all know that an XO’s job is to keep the Captain running. Since I drink way too much coffee and never sit down I am giving you a Seven-day cruise to the Meditteranean Sea so you and a guest can kick back and relax.

My second gift goes to the fabulous Luke Hung. Not only is he an amazing GM, but he has also written a fabulous counselor, Commander Heathcliff Rinker, for years and years on the Atlantis. In the post he mentioned the Lord of the Rings series and Jessa can never get the title right so I thought a field trip counseling session might be in order. I also set up a bar tab at the Green Dragon Inn in Hobbiton (a real working pub from the movie) to you and just nod when Jessa begins to ramble. All jokes aside, it is a pleasure getting to write with you and I am so lucky to have you on my command staff.

The next gift goes to James Sinclair. James I know things have been hectic this year and as the VP sometimes you just need a drink so I got you the biggest bottle in the world. My next gift goes to Tyra Schroll. While Tyra has just rejoined the crew, she has been a member of this crew for years during different times. I am so happy to have you back. Since it has been a while since we have caught up I am giving you a trip to Killington Vermont. https://www.killington.com. I am hoping you can show me a few moves on the mountain slopes and we can catch up in the ski lodge.

My next gift goes to Nathan Derricutt. Nathan has been on the crew for a long time and whether he is writing as a Marine or a security officer (he has played both), he does an amazing job. Right now I love his character Styxx. I have promised him he can kill off one of the people in the side sim we have going so I thought as he was busily creating a fantastic story showcasing Styxx’s skills he could have a cup of joe and plan the demise of one of our three new visitors. https://imgur.com/Svodptp

Every conversation we have leaves me happy and smiling. I am so lucky to have you on the crew.

My next gift goes to Rusty Boshankles. For those of you that don’t know, Rusty plays an amazing Ex-Borg engineer. I love the creative inspiration of this idea and any story about AI. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and for thinking about us all, I think this is wonderfully kind and plain fun to do.
