Three of Five walked into the mess hall with his bag hanging off his shoulder. He got food from the replicator and sat at a table. He opened the bag and pulled out a crochet doll partially complete. It’s body was fully formed except the head, and it was wearing a starfleet uniform that looked similar to the captain’s. He pulled out his needles and started crocheting the head of the doll, periodically stopping to eat.
Three of Five, Engineer

Kelly walked the mess hall looking for a place to sit down. The mess hall was the great equalizer. Everyone ate the same thing regardless of rank and today it was a tan swirl of what she was told contained Chicken. Seeing the engineering officer, Kelly decided to sit down at the table. She knew who he was but hadn’t really spent any time with him. “Mind if I sit,” she asked standing with her tray.

“No, ma’am, not at all.” He stated, he put the doll down and stood up out of respect to her rank. Even after being kidnapped and assimilated by the Borg and eventually severing his connection, he knew his mother would haunt him if he didn’t mind his manners like she taught him.
