It wasn’t a crazy idea, that much she knew. But Faye also knew that her perception of how others saw her and how they actually saw her was rather skewed. It made her hesitant (something she hated) and no matter how much she wished she didn’t care what others thought of her, she simply did. It mattered. A lot.

Settling into the department wasn’t hard, mostly because she kept to her corner, but that wasn’t enough anymore. The brief conversation with the captain had been something of a wakeup call and Faye decided she was ready and willing to do more. Dressed in her uniform, she tightened the elastic holding her teal coloured hair off her face and took a deep breath. She pressed the chime and hoped for the best.

Tyler was in the office, trying his best to get himself settled. It was still a tad strange for him to be in here. It didn’t quite feel normal yet.

When he heard the chime, he was sitting at the desk, staring off into space. It momentarily broke his trailing thoughts.

“Come in,” Tyler called out.

Faye entered and gave Tyler a nod. “Lieutenant,” she greeted. “I hope I’m not intruding too much, but I was hoping to have a word with you.” Very nicely done, Faye. It’s almost like you remember how to be polite. Though to be fair, it wasn’t remembering so much choosing to be polite.

“Have a seat,” Tyler said, motioning to one of the chairs in front of the desk. “And please, call me Tyler. I’m still not used to this whole department head thing.” He let out a sigh. “What’s on your mind Faye?”

OOC: I’m moving Faye to another ship any time now but I have an idea for this thread, so we’ll finish it one way or another.
IC:
“I wanted to see you about, well… you,” Faye replied as she moved to sit in the chair.

Her grey-green eyes took him in. “I’ve been analyzing that data from the crewman responsible for hacking the computer. The one who thought it would be fun to zap me with an electrical discharge.” She leaned in slightly, clearly all business. “I’m leaving the Atlantis for another assignment very shortly, but you should know that many of the walls have eyes and events that put you in a bad light were staged intentionally. I can’t say more than that, but our mutual friend knows what I know and can answer some of your questions. Maybe.” Would he figure out who that was? It wasn’t hard, but if he didn’t, well, she couldn’t help him much more than that. Not without risking exposure of those she wanted to keep safe, including herself.
