The flight had been a long one. However River didn’t care. Uncomfortable conditions was something she was very used to. She walked along the corridors of the Atlantis, her new ship. She had mesmerized the schematics and knew exactly where she was going. She had also read up on the Marines, she was not impressed. The previous MDCO before the current, had manged to get most of his men killed on a fools errand. No wonder he left, if I was command I would have shot him on site she thought to herself.

As she walked she checked her uniform, as expected it was perfect her trouser where pressed, her boot shined and her Captain pike medal of valor was in perfect condition. In a way River was looking forward to this assignment it wasn’t the most active but she knew that it would give her a chance to finish her book and make sure the marines where up to her standards, she doubted it. Of course she would be careful not to annoy the MDCO, after all the more allies she had the better.
