But I survived a gruelling war as an empath that witnessed and felt the deaths of many. And, long story short, I… was involved in an accident and lost my leg from above the knee. Even longer story is that I got my leg back, but the whole process of grappling with a disability while simultaneously trying to prove myself as a leader taught me something very important.” She turned her head and fixed her gaze on her counterpart. “I would never get anywhere of become who was meant to be if I hid myself from those who were deserving of knowing the true Ghubari Koraia. And the more I let them in, the stronger and more capable I became.”

Ghubari stopped to take that in, “You lost your leg and then got it back again… suffered a disability and then came back to being whole.” She gave a low whistle, “That’s a hell of a mind trip and by the sounds of it, it’s not over yet”.
