“Ceres” watched the vitals as well sighing somewhat in relief as apparent danger seemed to have abated. “Been a hell of a day,” he said somewhat “unfiguratively”.

Jessica’s head snapped up, having forgotten the presence of the additional figure once again in her focus on her patient and the anxiety of the last several hours. Her lips tilted into a sardonic grin as she commented, somewhat flippantly, “that’s the understatement of the year.” Her humor was a smidge harder than normal as she desperately tried to keep it together until she could go back to her quarters.

“Ceres” eyes softened a little, “You ok, Doc?” was all the man said but the empathy was plainly evident.

Jessica opened her mouth to respond, feeling the overwhelming emotion of the day starting to rise up, but before she could…

Before she could reply or react a body materialized on a nearby biobed. Ensign Kurok was stable but his biobed was transmitting his rather urgent need for neural synapse reintegration.

Her lower jaw snapped shut quickly enough to slightly rattle her teeth. As seemed typical for the day, it was yet another surprise, although she assumed this one was at the behest of the CMO. With one final glance at T’Pon to make sure that she was still resting peacefully, Jessica darted over to the new arrival, tapping her comm badge on the way:

=/\= Lemann to Gray. Ensign Kurok has arrived here and I’m beginning treatment. =/\=

She reached for the supplies nearby the biobed and quickly began preparing what she needed, soon turning and pressing a hypospray with alkysine against Kurok’s neck. Depositing the used hypospray nearby, she began a neuropathway induction procedure to try to repair the damaged pathways in the ensign’s brain.

The tired voice of Grey answered almost immediately =^=He’s received no medication, I gave him a few jolts with the Neural but no medication, the procedure is simple, just trust yer instincts and remember your training, I can be there in seconds if neccecary=^=

Kurok started to respond to the treatment with the usual patterns starting to reassert themselves but he wasn’t coming round just yet. T’Pon continued to softly breathe in the way that those who are totally relaxed do. All was peaceful.

Jessica waited to respond to Grey as she studied the patterns appearing on the biobed and continued the protocol methodically. As it completed, she eyed the readings for a brief moment, taking a moment to glance at T’Pon’s biobed as well. She stepped back and tapped on her comm badge to respond to her superior:

=/\= Thank you, Lieutenant. I have completed a neural induction procedure and I’m about to administer a stimulant so that I can perform a mental acuity assessment to determine the procedure’s success. =/\=

Jessica’s normally melodic voice had taken a slightly flat tone as she walked Grey through her steps. She didn’t need to provide this much information to him and, really, she wasn’t quite sure why she was responding in such detail. Perhaps it was loneliness? Insecurity? She shook her blonde head, forcing her focus back on the task at hand as she picked up a hypospray with a mild stimulant and pressed it against Kurok’s neck.
