Kaylee smiled. “Back in my days of Counselor, it was my way of giving counsel to our dear Captain here, without it involving her making a trip to my office. Just a little more relaxed and laid back and often times our conversations were long and meaningful.”

“I enjoyed it. Besides, I do like a good cup of properly made chai and Kaylee was good about reminding me to step back and take a breath,” Ghubari mused as she looked at Stark. “You know how we are: go, go go until we collapse.” Koraia also mused that she had had a lot of things change in her life, including more people who knew how to force her to take care of herself and remember that she too was important- to bother her ship and crew, as well as those that loved her.

Stark smiled a little, “Tea”, in his mind he was thinking about how his life had changed since Laraan had come into it. Somehow the idea of sitting with her and drinking tea seemed pleasant but absurdly mundane and he was sure something would interrupt it with galaxy wide threats attached. “So the answer to go, go, go is tea. Powerful stuff that tea, I need to try it”.

Ghubari winked at him. “There’s a cup of chai waiting for you whenever you want, ndugu. And I’m sure Kaylee could bring the treats,” she said with a grin, as her fingers lightly touched a few keys in a small arpeggio.

Grinning from ear to ear Stark chuckled his dark eyes dancing “Thank you dada, I appreciate it”, he turned then to Kaylee, “Treats? What do you both consider to be treats? I’m intrigued”.
