=/\= Sickbay to Bridge. Can you override the security protocol running in Sickbay with command codes? We are seven seconds away from an acidichloride attack. If not, beam everyone here to the secondary sickbay. =/\=

=^=Madison to sickbay one, computer shows gas being sent into the room. What is going on? =^=

–CSO, Liam J. Madison, Sci

Ben slammed his fist into the console as it refused his commands, he felt the panic creeping but did his best to suppress it =^=Computers trying to gas us, EMH tried to kill T’pon, We’re trying to beam out=^= He turned to the people rushing to the doors “Over here, group up, I’ll raise a forcefield if transporters don’t work” He called out to the crowd, trying his best to sound calm and in control despite it not feeling like it.

There was the loud hiss of gas coming into the room and then all was silent…

As power was cut to Sickbay, Jessica could hear a soft scream that sounded as if it had come from someone else. It took her a millisecond or two to figure out that it was coming from her and she screwed her eyes shut, waiting for the gas to take them over…

Ben looked over to where the scream was coming from but couldn’t move, for that moment he felt completely without hope. Then the tingling came.

as the transporter beam initiated from the bridge whisked them away to Sickbay 3 where they found themselves slightly more crowded than they had before.

As they were safely transported to Sickbay 3, her eyes popped open as tears of relief pooled in them, masking the green. She frantically brushed the fluid out of them with the back of her hand, forcing herself to move to ensure that the biobed T’Pon now rested on was beginning to monitor her vital signs. She could feel the panic she had felt when faced with the gas attack lurking in her, but the only thing she could do right now was focus on her patient. We’re safe, she repeated to herself over and over again, unaware that her lips were softly uttering the words out-loud.

Benjamin placed a hand against the wall and leaned in, exhaling deeply. This was the second brush with death he’d had in as many missions. After a moment he made his way across the smaller room, passing several of his staff and patients, doing quick visual checks until he arrived at T’Pon’s bed next to Lemann. He placed a hand on the woman’s shoulder and squeezed gently “We’re alright lass” His accent slipping slightly as he spoke. He could feel his left hand shaking, closing his fist in an attempt to stop it it “Just breathe” His thoughts turned to his flask in his office sever decks above them.

Jessica offered Grey a watery half-smile, narrowly resisting the urge to crumple against him as she felt his hand squeeze her narrow shoulder. She slowly nodded in response to his words, not trusting her voice if she dared to intentionally speak. Her eyes closed briefly as she took in a long, slow deep breath through her nose and pushed the warm air out through her mouth, visibly and audibly following his instructions. When her eyes opened again, she focused intently on T’Pon, forcing herself to push the near death experience to the side to deal with later. Right now, her patient needed her.

and that was when the red alert siren rang out announcing an imminent core breach.

Jessica’s blonde head whipped up from her study of the Vulcan’s vital signs as the klaxon rang out. Her eyes instantly filled with tears again as she forced herself to focus on Grey. “I… assume there isn’t anything we can do to help,” she remarked, trying to force her normal levity into the situation, but her voice trembled over the words.

Ceres turned over to the doctors, his face a mask of concentration. “Where there is life, there’s hope,” he said nodding his head slowly. Within the holographic shell of Ensign Ceres, the real Michail thought to himself, “If only the future was as fixed as we’d like”. Turning his holographic Asian features back to the doctors he spoke again. “Drinks are on me when we’re all out of this mess”.

Ben felt a lump in his throat form, clearing his throat he forced a smile “Don’t worry” He put an arm across Jessica’s shoulder “The Captain’ll get us out of this” He tried to comfort himself as much he tried to comfort the others “I’ll take you up on that, no synthahol rubbish though” He made a mental note to hide flasks in each Sickbay if they lived through this. “Let’s focus on our Patients Doctor Lemann, trust our crewmates.”
