Orvos, for once in his life, had time to actually be in his quarters with nothing imperative that needed done. His engineers were working on the repairs, and he trusted them while he took necessary rest.

He sat down on his couch, his gadgets lying on the table before him. Orvos was a man full of secrets, and good deal of them were here in his quarters. The captain, of course, knew of some of them. He was not about to leave her totally out of the loop. But there were a great many more still untold.

Orvos stared at them, the last few missions unfolding in his mind. Time to process it all had been a precious commodity. Somehow now was such an instance. Exploring a vast nebula to traveling through time. And not to mention being involved so suddenly in the wedding of a certain intelligence officer and counselor. Stories upon stories stored in his mind for future reference. His senses were just a bit off though, given their latest mission traveling through time and then reintegrating into the correct timeline. Some people weren’t quite the same as they were before the mission. And it would likely be a stumbling block for him until he got used to them all.

And then there were those who either left or recently joined. Orvos never did figure out the entire story of Adam Chryst. A man never meant to exist, and Orvos was likely the only one who knew. Perhaps the captain ought to know? Yes, he would find time to tell her. And Nico! Who could ever forget that little guy. He was surely missed, though he was likely traveling about the universe, doing and learning all that he could do to the best of capabilities.

The new crew was something else. Rovan Moor, pilot with both security and engineering backgrounds. Funny how Orvos ended up as his superior. He had assumed that likely Konral or even Rhan would have been granted it. Perhaps his engineering capabilities outweighed his security skills? Either way, he was looking forward to learning more about him.

And of course there was Julien. Classic that he would end up learning about the man’s true nature out of necessity. Orvos almost relished it though. Stories seemed to simply stream to him. This one was certainly unfinished. And where it would go, he was still uncertain. Soon though, he would get the answers.

And then there was Marishka, certainly one to grab any attention. But not seemingly out of necessity. It was as if her mere appearance drew the eyes. Orvos may have been well off in years, but for an El Aurian, he was still teetering on youthful. Perhaps akin to a human in their early to mid 30’s. And despite his ability to resist such people, he could not deny a certain amount of physical attraction to her. He only hoped he did not have to personally fix her sonic shower. Being left in a room alone with her could prove to be difficult temptation to overcome.

But why was he even considering such circumstances when there was also Janna. She always managed to pop up. There was always something keeping him linked to her somehow. First it was merely showing up together in areas. Now though, every once in awhile he would drift off to thoughts of her.

In the end, he tried to push all thoughts aside. He couldn’t get connected to the crew, despite the evidence to the contrary. He would not allow it. But how could he not? To truly enjoy the stories, one had to enjoy the characters in them. He shook his head. There was much more at stake than the stories. He knew time was careening closer to it. If it didn’t hurry though, he knew the situation would likely prove to be more difficult to face.

He picked up his remote air vehicle and worked on the finishing touches of some new modifications to it.

OOC I agree this was awesome, Stark was going to crash it but he had a momentary emergency and was called away :-)
