Karina left the lounge and sighed. She would have to apologize to Kaylee later. If Julien had stayed and they had all chatted, it would have been one thing. But Julien had gotten ill. It didn’t make sense to her. Why would eating make him sick? Surely he had eaten fresh food often enough that it didn’t affect him.Part of her wanted to go back to Medical and look up his records to see what was going on, but the other part of her wanted to hunt for him. She stopped at the computer terminal in the next corridor junction and tapped in a query to find out where she was. She could have just comm’ed him. But she wanted to keep things private, and a verbal command, heard by anyone passing by, wasn’t exactly private. She tapped the inquiry for his location and held her breath as she waited for the response.
Her mind wondered if she should see Grey about Julien. Surely he would know the answers. After all, they were colleagues. Wouldn’t he be understanding of her worry?

DoctorThe computer informed her that Julien was in the gym area.

“How odd,” she murmured and headed that way.
A few minutes later she entered the gym, a slight crease her brow made one wonder if she was lost or looking for someone. She glanced around to see if she should stick back out and leave him be, fearing a scene, or find out if he was truly ok.

The gym wasn’t very full, three crewmembers were on treadmills at the far right, chatting with each other while running. Two others were in rowing machines next to them. From the far left corner there was a regular deep and dull booming sound of sorts.
If Karina approached she would see the back side of a tall man, on first glance a security guard, wearing shorts and a muscle shirt, revealing deeply tanned skin stretched over tons and tons of toned muscles, little droplets of sweat gleamin on it.
His fists were covered in red tape and he was beating the hell out of a metal pillar, covered by about 10 cm of padding with a leather cover, an unmovable punching post, with a metal backing. Left - righ -left -right - and each time he hit with his right, the metal pillar vibrated!
Julien needed to vent. Regularly. He had always had too much energy inside of him for his own good, but lately it felt almost as if he was about to burst. All his battles were in his mind only these days. Emotions, so many emotions, good and bad, but no way to ever fully express them. He felt caged in a way. The only relief had been the fight with Stark on the holodeck, but even that had just been training. Being a doctor again was nice, but he knew he could not truly go back in time. He simply wasn’t the same man than the Dr. Julien King from 20 years ago. But he had to pretend. He simply would have to channel his frustration into his true goal. Finding and destroying the Conclave. Once and for all. He thought of Balkan, the operative he had uncovered and killed on the Genesis. His next right punch made the metal behind the padding sing.
