Karina left the lounge and sighed. She would have to apologize to Kaylee later. If Julien had stayed and they had all chatted, it would have been one thing. But Julien had gotten ill. It didn’t make sense to her. Why would eating make him sick? Surely he had eaten fresh food often enough that it didn’t affect him.

Part of her wanted to go back to Medical and look up his records to see what was going on, but the other part of her wanted to hunt for him. She stopped at the computer terminal in the next corridor junction and tapped in a query to find out where she was. She could have just comm’ed him. But she wanted to keep things private, and a verbal command, heard by anyone passing by, wasn’t exactly private. She tapped the inquiry for his location and held her breath as she waited for the response.

Her mind wondered if she should see Grey about Julien. Surely he would know the answers. After all, they were colleagues. Wouldn’t he be understanding of her worry?
