NE Flyer idly sat at the helm, going through some standard checks as the Athena flew through space towards Wer Beta III. The ship flew smoothly, everything seemed to be running as expected, no issues. The crew had been busy preparing for the arrival at the planet, and it was the final hours of quiet before their arrival.

From the side of the helm the console chimed twice. Make that an hour until their arrival.

Spinning in his chair he turned towards the Officer of the Watch.

“Sir, we are 1 hour out from Wer Beta III.”

With a nod the OOW tapped the comm panel. =^=Captain to the Bridge. XO to the Bridge. We are 1 hour out from Wer Beta III.=^=

• Big Gorilla

Orvos had been in the middle of tinkering with his miniature drone. It had been a long time since he had actually used it. With the change of seasons, he had been content to pull it out again in order to get it once more functional. Unfortunately, he had only gotten so far when duty called. He sighed and left the pieces on his work table along with the various tools he was using. He had lost track of time and thus forewent the thought of a possible dip into the hot tub.

He went to the mirror and quickly donned his uniform before leaving his quarters.

The bridge was bustling with activity when he entered from the aft starboard turbolift. He was quiet as usual when he appeared, soaking in as much as he could of what he observed as he slowly made his way to the center chair.

“Sir,” the OOW said standing as the Captain approached. “Helm reports that we are approximately 1 hour out from Wer Beta III. The ship has been running smoothly, and no further updates from any of the department heads.”
