Michael dropped off his personal belongings in his quarters and went to main sickbay. He entered through the doors and said to an orderly, “I’m ensign Michael Easter, newly assigned to Engineering. Here for my boarding physical.

Michael would notice there was a steady hum through Sickbay when he entered through the doors. The orderly nodded “W-w-welcome aboard,” he stuttered, “D-d-doctor Elaine w-w-will see you now,”. He led the Ensign over to one of the bio beds and signalled to the doctor that she had a patient waiting.

Elaine looked up from the patient she had been talking to and gave the orderly a nod, acknowledging him. The only officer in Sickbay wearing a white coat she was easy to spot. She was petite, dark blonde hair done up into a bun, and a small gold and white dog that looked more like a fluff ball than an actual animal. Finishing up her conversation, she soon turned and came over.

“Lieutenant Elaine Janvier, but please just call me Elaine, everyone else does.” she smiled, “Welcome aboard.
