Brenna had just stepped through the docking port of her transport, when a married yeoman came to an abrupt stop in front of her. “Cmdr.,” the poor man took a heavy breath, “Atoded?” Brenna smiled, “That’s me, Ensign.”

He nodded, his eyes darting to her three canine companions that stood silently at her side. They were beautiful and so calm. He’d never seen a Terran dog before. They were quite something.

“Oh, sorry Cmdr.” Brenna smiled and waved it away. “The Athena,” he continued, “orders, she’s leaving immediately. I’ve been sent to take you there and get your things transferred.”

At that moment an ops officer from her transport appeared. Her two crates on an anti-grav sled. “Thank you Porym,” she said. The man nodded and disappeared. “Well that’s everything. Lead the way Ensign.” Brenna was glad she packed light. Though she wished she had her own shuttle still. Ah well, it could be replaced.

At the docking port to the Athena, Brenna was presented with absolute chaos. The officer at the hatch was taking on a large amount of cargo. Based on the labels and amount, she would guess some kind of relief mission. She waited patiently. All three of her dogs waited as well, but the sight of so many new potential givers of ear scratches, had them wagging their tails in anticipation.

Finally it was her turn, the officer quickly checked her in and arranged to have her things delivered to her quarters. Brenna had served on a Mythology class before, so finding her quarters was no problem. “Alright, you three, behave. I have to go check-in. Be nice when they deliver our stuff. Stay here, no wandering,” she set a replicated bowl of water down and turned to look at the all white Husky, “Especially you Fenris. Geri keep an eye on him,” she added to the red. She brushed her uniform straight and free of dog fur and left her quarters for the bridge.
