Ben walked out of the lift with a certain displeasure demeanor. He was just ready to get this physical done and over with. He walked in and waited to be seen.

Park,
Security JO

A small golden and white dog walked over to where Park was waiting. It looked more like a walking pile of fluff then a dog. It sat at his feet and looked up at Park with its big brown puppy eyes.

A moment passed at then the dog turned around and walked back through Sickbay its little butt swinging from side to side as it trotted along. Sickbay wasn’t busy but it wasn’t quiet, the officers on shift were moving easily around the room smooth and comfortable in the work they were doing. The dog trotted through all of this towards its target, a young doctor looking at something on a PADD and although Ben couldn’t hear what they were saying it was obvious they were talking about what was most likely a patient reading. Once it had reached its target it sat at her feet until she noticed.

The doctor looked down and smiled, bending over to ruffle the head of the dog in front of her. The dog wagged its tail and then started walking a few paces back towards Park before stopping and looking back over its shoulder towards the young doctor. The young doctor looked amused but with a quick word to the nurse she complied and followed the dog back to where Ben was waiting.

“Hello, I’m Elaine” she greeted, “Are you junior Lieutenant Park?”

Ben nodded and smiled”yes Ma’am I am. I’m here for my required on-board physical.”

“Welcome aboard,” she greeted with a welcoming smile, “It’s always a pleasure to meet a new colleague.”

“If you want to come this way, and we can start with your physical,” She directed Ben over to one of the empty bio beds, “How has the Athena been treating you? Have you had any chance to see much of the ship yet?”

Ben nodded and smiled as he followed the Doctor to the empty biobed. “To be honest Ma’am, I’ve been too busy to explore. I will admit, I’m not used to transfers. I’m sure it’ll take some getting used too with the layout of the Athena Ma’am, but I’m prepared.”

Lt. Park

“Every ship is different that is true, but you’ll find your way around soon enough.” She gave one of her gentle smiles, “I recommend going and visiting the gardens, Counselor Jenna took me there on my first day and they are beautiful. I take Enj around there most days,”
