A nervous Ensign hesitantly tapped the comm panel. It was his first day on the bridge, and of course it was the day that a scary looking Admiral would call. Not his office, the Admiral himself!

• Big Gorilla

Captain Orvos Legen was already en route to the bridge when call came through his communicator. The turbolift doors opened and he stepped onto the bridge. Crew members were busying themselves at their respective stations. His eyes met the Ensign’s and he pointed to his ready room. “Patch him in there,” he said as he made no hesitation in stride as he moved into his personal office.

At the Tactical station, Dashel had set up the controls to how he liked them. He checked the shields, the phaser banks, the torpedoes, it seemed that all of them were ok. He watched as the Captain entered and crossed the bridge on his way to his ready room. Things were calm at the moment, but given the hail reported by the Ensign to the Captain, he doubted they would remain calm for long, in his experience, it wouldn’t be long before the bananas would be hitting the fan.
