OOC: I’m going to assume the XO’s surgery is done at this point and Stone is in recovery. You don’t have to go to the patients, everyone will be coming into this thread.

An alert came through and one of the nurses turned to the other medical staff. “We’ve got an incoming medical emergency from the away team. Black Ops team in bound with the shuttle. ETA, five minutes.”

“Ok, thank you.” Lt. Sharvi responded, “Please let them know we are prepared.” He continued.

The first wave of patients arrived, as their missing Chief of Security and an Orion male were materialized in Sickbay. The Orion all but collapsed to the deck as the surge of adrenaline from their escape faded.

Lt. Sharvi immediately starts scanning the Orion with the tricorder and points to Lt. Ducante. “I’ll check the Orion, someone look at the Lt. please.” He stated. He was glad to see the Chief of Security back on board. He started to get the results of the tricorder scan on the Orion. He also wondered how Lt. Janvier’s surgery on the XO was going.

Janvier had done all she could on the XO and was doing one final check to make sure he was as comfortable as he could be. Now all he needed was some time. Satisfied that she had done what she could for him, she ducked away to quickly wash her arms before coming back to see where she would be needed next.

Lt. Ducante went in and out of conciousness, finally letting the adrenaline go. He and the Orion were saved, and beamed to the ship and all he could see was a bunch of blinking lights.

The Orion was in pretty bad shape. There were obvious cuts on the man’s bare arms and he could see a deep bruise on his face that did not look fresh from the fall during the explosion. It surrounded one eye and the man had a hard time opening it fully. A quick scan revealed two broken ribs and a hairline fracture of his right femur, along with multiple contusions. But aside from the obvious ones from the fall, there were signs of bruises that were older. There was a medical wrap on his ribs that was Starfleet issue and likely Ducante’s doing.

The scan showed the Orion had several lacerations and contusions. Notable was the contusion around his right eye that made it difficult to open. In fact there was a hairline fracture of the ethmoid bone (the bone to the side of the eye that formed that part of the orbital opening). He also had two partially fractured ribs, plus a hairline fracture of his femur. The newer contusions were likely from the fall that Ducante also suffered, but other injuries (including the eye facial and femur fracture) were clearly older. There was a Starfleet issue medical wrap on his ribs.

If someone scanned Ducante, he was suffering from internal bleeding from his liver. He also had contusions and lacerations that would need tending to once the emergency was dealt with.

OOC: Not sure if I’m supposed to post here or not as the Memorial people have been left out of the sim so far, but I’ll go ahead and if the GM doesn’t want it, they can delete it, I guess.

Talia was coming from the back stores of sickbay when the patients were beamed in. Seeing how Lt Sharvi reached for the Orion, she was there for Ducante. Betweeh her and one of the nurses, they got him settled on a biobed and began scans. “Picking up internal bleeding. It looks like his liver is lacerated. I need a tissue regenerator and he’ll need blood infusions to replace what’s pooled in his abdomen.” The tool appeared in her hand from one of the other medical staff, and Ren began focusing on the internal laceration. As she mended the wound, others worked on the visible contusions and hairline fractures that also came up on the scan.

OOC: I was getting there. Busy few days and I was unwell for part of it. ;) The fracture (there’s several) is on the Orion. Ducante has no fractures. Someone should help the Orion, and now you have a 3rd patient. Plenty for everyone! :D

The liver laceration was small and easily repaired given Ducante hadn’t been bleeding for too long. It was enough that his blood pressure was on the low side, but not critical. The lacerations and contusions would be easily fixed with a dermal regenerator.

A moment later, their second batch of arrivals materialized into Sickbay. Dawson and Calloway (dressed in black ops gear) were crouched on either side of a man who seemed unconscious

Talia was just finishing up healing the liver laceration on Ducante, when more officers beamed into sickbay.

“Help me get him on a biobed,” Faye said to Dawson, carefully slipping her arms under the frail officer.

“This is Silas Morgan, a rescued officer. He’s been imprisoned for awhile now and is suffering for a whole host of issues,” Calloway said aloud to any of the med staff who were free to tend to him. She moved to the head of the biobed, trying to keep out of the way, though her hand was on his shoulder. “Be gentle with him,” she said, her voice softer as her stormy grey-green eyes gazed downwards at him.

With a nod to the nurses who were treating the contusions, she walked over to the new patient, Silas Morgan. He didn’t look well at all. She set him up for several scans to see where they were at and what she could report to the CMO for possible treatment. OOC: waiting to see if Cass wants to step in here before I go any further.

Elaine had been crossing Sickbay to check on how Lieutenant Sharvi was doing with the Orien when Dawson and Calloway came in with Silas Morgan. Doing a quick turnaround she drew her attention over to the newcomers. Her white coat floating around her almost made her look like she was a ghost as she smoothly guided around the working staff, so quickly that all most of the staff felt was a faint breeze as she went by.

It was all hands on with the new patient and noting Ren was already setting up scans Elaine took down his details from Calloway while Ren took the results of the initial scans. “Of course,” Elaine said softly, “He’s in the best of care now, you’re welcome to stay by him while we work, you won’t be in the way there or” she paused and looked over at Dawson to make sure she had his attention as well, “Or you can both get checked over now and I promise you he will still be there once you’ve been done,”
