Harrison arrived in Transporter Room 1, armed and ready to go.“Chief, Ens. Sinara and I need you to put us down three decks lower than Lt. Ducante’s last known position. If you can find him and put us down right next to him, that would be even better,” Callahan ordered/
Lt. Cmdr. Harrison Callahan
CTO-USS Athena“I’ll see what our options are,” the crewman operating the transporter said.
The transporter room door slid open and a svelte woman stepped in. She had dark hair in a tidy bun that revealed a slight point to her ears, and her eyes were black like a Betazoid’s. Her uniform had one pip, and Intelligence Division colours. “Commander Callahan, I’m Ensign Sinara. Commander Calloway has briefed me on the situation and the nature of our dual op.” She handed him a backpack. “We have search and rescue gear, medical supplies and transport enhancers, plus anything else that might come in handy. Calloway said she’d call us from Transporter Room 2 when they were ready to coordinate the beam down.”

Harrison turned to look at Sinara. “Ensign, a pleasure. I wish our initial meeting could’ve been in more pleasant circumstances.”
“Indeed,” Sinara said. “Rest assured that Calloway has trained us very well for these situations, despite our official role on the ship being data based.”
He took the backpack and threw it over his shoulder. “You heard the lady, chief, more details will come from Cmdr. Calloway, but here’s the skinny. Sinara and I are going down to find Lt. Ducante. Calloway and Dawson will be beaming down in the dark at the same time you beam us down. They’re working on a covert op. We want the people on that mish-mash to focus on the two of us. Sync your controls with transporter room two. I’m not sure but I’m guessing Calloway and Dawson will be piggybacking on our signal, but setting down at whatever coordinates Calloway sends you. Sinara and I find Ducante, Calloway and Dawson do what they’re going to do, and hopefully pilot our shuttle back. The two of us beam back, shuttle lands in the shuttle bay, we’re all home and then go we have a drink. Sound like a plan??”
He switched his gaze back and forth between Sinara and the transport chief, checking for acknowledgement.
Lt. Cmdr. Harrison Callahan
CTO-USS AthenaThe transporter operator nodded. “Yes, Sir,” he said.
“Calloway also suggested we make a show of our search. They are expecting us there so we might as well not be quiet about it,” Sinara said.

Harrison smirked as he stepped onto the transporter pad. “I’ll make sure to let them know we’re there. Ensign, you ever been married? You’re about to get a crash course on what it’s like to be married to a human. . . . “
Lt. Cmdr. Harrison Callahan
CTO-USS AthenaSinara furrowed her brows. “How so?” she said.
Before he could answer, Calloway’s voice came through the comm. =/\=Calloway to Transporter Room 1=/\=
The operator answered. =/\=Transporter Room 1 here.=/\=
=/\=Are we ready to sync transports?=/\=
=/\=Yes, Commander.=/\=
=/\=Good. Callahan and Sinara, good hunting. We’ll see you back on the ship. Bridge, keep a light on for us.=/\=

=^=Right back atcha, Commander,=^= Callahan replied to Calloway.
While waiting for the transporter to take effect, Harrison turned back to Sinara to answer her question. “We are going to have an argument, logical or not. We are going to be loud and if you can handle it, obnoxious. While we’re looking for Ducante, we need to keep people distracted, so Cmdr. Calloway and Dawson can do the sneaky stuff.”
As the transporter took effect, Harrison paused. . . .
When they materialized at the intended beam down site, seeing no one around, Harrison continued.
“When married couples argue, sometimes the argument is completely. . . .illogical. Now, I know it’s not part of who you are, but I need you to be illogical so we can keep the people down here focused on us. Got it?”
Lt. Cmdr. Harrison Callahan
CTO-USS AthenaSinara smirked. “I think you’ll find I’m not as logic-based as you are expecting. Bickering couple it is.” Double-checking her gear, she stood ready.
“I have sync-up with the other transporter room. Initiating transport” the operator said.
Callahan and Sinara disappeared in a shimmer of light.
They reappeared in a dark place that was full of debris. A few steps ahead was the obvious hole created by the explosion. They were at the ‘bottom’ of it, three floors down from where the away team had been. There were pieces of bulkhead and shards of metal everywhere in a circular pattern, and they would have to navigate some of it as they went about their search. The transporter had put them down close to the opening and if they looked up they could see the full depth of the explosion. They couldn’t see the other team, who had been beamed in on the other side of the epicentre, clearly out of sight.
“Alright,” Sinara said, keeping her voice audible to those that might be around. “I’m scanning for Ducante’s life signs,” she said, aiming her tricorder in a slow arc into the structure. If he was alive, he’d have ventured somewhere away from the epicentre. “I’m getting interference. We need to move away from the explosion area to get better readings.”

Bump
Callahan moved away from the beam down spot as well. He pulled out his tricorder and began scanning in the opposite direction as Sinara. “It’s showtime, Sin. Let’s draw a little attention to ourselves.”
She smirked.
He pointed to the direction she was headed and raised his voice. “LT.!!! I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO GO THAT WAY!!! GEEZ!!! YOU NEVER LISTEN!!! ONE OF THESE DAYS . . . I TELL YA!!!”
“Oh shut it Callahan, you wouldn’t know sense if it hit you in the head!”
He gave her a quick wink and a nod and continued yelling “DUCANTE!!! IT’S CALLAHAN!!! CAN YOU HEAR ME?!?!? YOU DOWN HERE SOMEWHERE??”
Lt. Cmdr. Harrison Callahan
CTO-USS Athena
“Sure! Because yelling is going to help matters oh so much!” Sinara said with a hint of distaste. Sinara moved deftly through the rubble with nary a sound of her feet. Despite the commotion they were creating, she was still aware that they had to be careful.
As they moved away from the epicentre, the interference began to dissipate. She wiggled the tricorder and nodded to Callahan. They had something. She pointed two fingers in a direction ahead of them. “I told you Callahan that I knew what I was doing! See? Two o’clock! Pretty sure that’s him!
