Orvos had stepped into his ready room, keeping his thoughts centered on what he needed to share with Command.

The Athena had happened upon quite the situation. Their investigation quickly led to members of their crew being harmed. Possibly even dead. But the Athena had not been attacked directly, like other ships had. She was not a ship easily taken though. So much had happened in such a short amount of time. Getting word to Command about the situation was imperative. No other ship had managed to do so. Now was their own opportunity.

He sat down at his desk and immediately opened a communique from the ready room to be patched to their designated oversight officer in the fleet.

Someone from the Fleet Commander’s office responded and came on the screen. =/\=Captain Legen. I take it you have an update?=/\=

OOC: Not sure if it’s technically cheating, but I’m going to assume that Orvos doesn’t leave out any details except for Faye’s mission with Dawson. Hope that’s ok! If not, let me know and I’ll edit.

OOC: Works for me.

IC: Orvos took a breathe and explained what happened. The detection of a shuttle from Outpost 42. The miscellaneous parts mashed into vessels, noting the various species tech. He also mentioned that Commander Stone was being tended to after the explosion, so Callahan was now in charge of the away team. Perhaps Command didn’t need all of the details, but they couldn’t say he wasn’t thorough. He was keen though to keep Faye’s op out of the details. It was, after all, his ship’s assignment.

He did ask though if they had acquired any new information. He considered that it was unlikely, but thought best to ask just in case. He leaned back in his chair, his eyes set on the screen before him awaiting.

Orvos leaned back in his chair giving it a moment of thought. “It ultimately depends on what we find. It wouldn’t hurt to have backup on standby. Though, let the record state I have every confidence in the Athena and her crew. Once we have more information, you’ll get it.” He leaned forward at his final sentence to punctuate the thought.
