Calloway/Hammor Quarters- Family Matters

Her sister Nadine called a little while ago and Faye couldn’t wipe the smirk off her face. Yes, this she could definitely help with.In truth, Faye was still processing their trip to Tennessee and all that came with it. In the back of her mind layered under other processes, calculations and wonderings, she was still trying to answer a deeply personal question, one that she had voiced to Dag but other than that wasn’t ready to bring out into the open. Not yet, anyway.
Instead, she was focused on Nadine’s request and this required a call to the Delta Quadrant to one of her favourite people- her best friend, chosen-brother, and Mentor: Captain Cochrane. They hadn’t planned to talk this week, so hopefully she could catch him at an okay time.
When the call connected, Faye grinned. =/\=Yo! How’s it goin’?=/\= she said to Alex, leaning back in her chair. She was in off-duty clothes and wearing one of her many sloganed t-shirts. This one was black with white text that said You couldn’t even handle me if I came with instructions.

Fleet Captain Alexander Cochrane sat, surprisingly, in a chair in his quarters. He was in a light grey Henley-style long sleeved shirt with two buttons at the top. He smiled at the screen, the ice blue eyes gleaming as he saw Faye’s face. =/\= Well, well… she lives! =/\= and he laughed. =/\= You know I’ve sent you four messages and I haven’t got a single reply back. Keep that up and I’ll have you transferred back to the Delta. =/\= he said with a grin.
