(Snip)He took the PADD. “Thanks. Just give me a moment,” the P.O. said, checking that the transfer files had arrived. “Okay, everything looks in order. I’ll just see who is available for a boarding eval. Back in a minute.”
Moving to a green door and stepping inside, he emerged a moment later and moved to another door. A quick knock on the red door in the middle, and he poked his head in, speaking in a soft voice. He returned a moment later, sans PADD, and gestured towards the door. “Dr. Kingston can take you , Ensign, so please go on in.”
Through the red door, Janna’s office was a modest space rather fitting the petite woman. She didn’t go to great lengths to decorate, but it was definitely more than the standard grey furniture and carpet. On the wall above the couch was an image of a forest scene that could be almost anywhere and the standard grey slim arm chairs had been replaced with softer larger armchairs in a dark blue that looked inviting to curl up into. On top of the standard carpet, the sitting area was covered in a plush rug in different shades of blue. On the other side of the room where she mostly worked, there was a tall leafy plant near her desk and a single silver photo frame on the corner of the desk where she could easily see it when she worked at the computer terminal. Overall, the place was warm but practical and uncluttered- much like Janna.
The petite psychologist was sitting in one of the arm chairs, reading the PaDD she had just received. She looked up and smiled, her grass green eyes vivid. “Come on in and make yourself comfortable, Ensign. Welcome to the Athena. I’m Janna Kingston.” She tucked an errant chin length blond curl behind her ear before gesturing to the seating options.

Sha’ow stepped forward and hopped up onto the gestured seat.
“Ensign Sha’ow reporting for my initial psychological evaluation… Mmm… Yess… As required for all new commissions in Star Fleet.”
He hands over the PaDD to Janna.

USS AthenaShe accepted the PADD and glanced at the information briefly. “Have a seat Ensign and be at ease here. Can I get you anything to eat or drink?” Janna said, picking her words deliberately. Brand new ensigns fell into some general categories and she was curious which, if any, would describe Sha’ow.
OCC: Anything in Sha’ow’s file from the Academy entrance psyc test or other evals that would stand out to Janna?
~Janna Kingston, CNS
OOC: Nothing spectacular, very bright and Inquisitive but also quite anxious.
IC:
“Thank you, thank you.” Sha’ow sits on the chair and crosses his legs in his best approximation of how a humanoid would sit.
“No drink for me, not food no no, I had a light breakfast after disembarking the transport shuttle. Sir, I mean ma’am. Thank for the offer.” His whiskers twitch in appreciation.
Janna half bowed her head in acknowledgment. “Alright then,” she said, moving to take up the other arm chair
“I come from Cait. I am a long long way from home, like so many others. Happy, yes happy just such a large ship.” He gestures in general.
Ensign Sha’ow
EngKingston grinned. “It is indeed a large ship. Lots to do, lots of different people to meet. What parts are you most excited about?”
OOC: Just a friendly tip as you settle back into STF: we write in past tense, rather than the present. Just a small tweak needed, but it’ll help the posts flow better together.

“What am I looking forward…” He smiles, ” The Jeffries Tubes. I feel at home in smaller places, yes, yes. ” He was wringing his tail with his paws as he spoke.

Janna mirrored his smile. “The Jeffries tubes are a great way to get to know the ship. Some people see them only as a necessary nuisance , but I’ve always thought of it as an intimate journey through your home. After all, the ship keeps us safe in space.”
“What else are you looking forward to as you settle in here?”
