Orvos over department reports when the chime to the ready room rang. He could sense an unfamiliar presence behind the door. He glanced up as he spoke. “Come in.”

When the door hissed open Sha’ow stood for a moment longer. New room, new smells and sounds. He supposed this was just part of being on a new ship, a new home.

Stepping over that threshold he makes his way to the desk, the small patter on his feet in the soft carpet.

Standing before Capt. Legen is short in stature Caitian with grey fur, green eyes the left side of his face is cover in a large patch of white fur. When his tail moves he notices the tip of the tail is white in colour and seems to fluff out.

“Okay, okay ,yes. Captain Legen, Ensign Sha’ow reporting for duty as is… Is required by protocol. It is an honour to be here” he says.

He offers his PaDD to the captain.

Orvos leaned back in his chair as he eyed the new comer with a raised eyebrow. “Ensign Sha’ow. Security I see. It’s a pleasure to have you aboard. While I understand that some ship have the protocol of meeting with the captain, I can assure you it isn’t necessary on this ship. The Athena is quite large, though I welcome anyone who wishes to speak with me. So don’t take that to heart.”

He stood up and nodded his head. “It’s a pleasure to have you aboard. I hope your boarding went well?”
